Norseman misunderstood Dark Lord of the Sith

You know what? That brush is too good looking to be named after the misguided jedi.

You should name it the Dooku after a venerable old Gentleman who really knew how to wield a blade
Christopher Lee portrayed his mannerism perfectly. Too bad that his story was influenced by Lucas, a man whose "vision of the truth" is just as misguided as the Jedi.

    Go Green Celebration Shave
I tried to use as many green and white products today to celebrate the MSU Spartans victory last night.
I lathered up Maggard's Limes and Bergamot over Mickey Lee Lime PSB with my HIS and got excellent results. The FatBoy did its job on 9-7-7 for a smooth shave, but with a couple small weepers. I polished off the last of my Proraso Green splash to wrap it up. My face felt nice and cool.

Razor: Valet Auto Strop/ Red Tip(5) Feather blade)
    Blade: Feather (1)
Brush: Frendrihen Silver Tip Badger Faux Black Ebony Handle 22/49
    Bowl: Yokohama Studio
    Cream: Proraso
    A/S: Old Spice

Changed the blade in the Valet tonight and got a very good shave. Once again I pulled the blade back a touch and made 2 passes with it. Still having to use the Red Tip around the chin and jaw. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. The Old Spice is amazing.:happy088::happy088::happy088: Forgot to include the brush in the picture tonight. Same brush as yesterday.

    Dove Men Face Wash
    Tabac
    Bethlehem Olivewood ST
    Gillette President
    Personna SS
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Aqua Velva

The Tabac face-lathered well with my Bethlehem Olivewood Silvertip brush. Two passes with my Gillette President razor and a Personna SS blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This was my exception for my Shave Gear Sabbatical. I ran across it in a little shop. I had never seen one. I went home, looked it up on the Internet, and then asked my wife if I could get it. Being the wonderful woman she is, she said OK. I got it for $36. Amazing find for me. It is a 1953 Gillette President (rhodium plated).
On top of all that, it is a great shaver. I have made it my Sunday driver. So, even though this is SE/Injector month for me, I will be using this little shaving machine on Sundays.

It is a Y-1, and I believe you are correct. It was the first year of the President. I had wondered if it was to honor President Eisenhower. That was his first year as president.

    Old Spice Cologne

Three different Glacial scents with the same Siberia-in-January-like menthol power. The Lemon Chill soap smells magnificent, lathers like a charm, and freezes like a demon while providing brilliant post-shave care. The Obsidian balm moisturizes, freezes, and soothes so well with a lovely black liquorice scent, and the Wintergreen witch hazel is so skin-friendly and delivers a menthol punch to end all menthol punches and the scent is heavenly, but it never disrupts the scent of a cologne or eau de toilette. ;) :D

I'll have to do some research and see how long it was in production. I think it was only a few years. Hope someone here might have a better idea.

Great stuff, guys. I love all the different setups and all your comments. I've been "lurking" on this thread, just don't seem to have the time to contribute right now and also participate in the September Focus thread too.
