If you are looking at R41s then I would think the Schick E2s would be your best bet...I see you ordered a R 41 with a Weber handle, and you're asking about which Injectors are the most aggressive...So I think it's safe to say an E Type would put you in the ballpark...An E2, an early one you can open up to clean, thats a nice trait. Although the later ones that don't open are nice aswell. Billy is saying that the early Canadian Es With the black handles are the most aggressive... So I'm thinking, an E2 or E3, these are very easy to find and like Billy said, the cost of Postage will most likely be more than the price of the razor...Unless you are looking for a boxed new old stock, collector type piece... Injectors are different than DEs...You can get a really great shave from a mild injector...They are very light, and you can use a little pressure...But I am finding myself being drawn to the E2 type, which opens and is pretty aggressive...But because of the nature of the beast, the learning curve, I believe is much shorter than a comparably aggressive DE...I think the Schicks are just more user friendly, period.
Thanks for the info guys. Funny thing I just noticed about my Model J. All the pics online have fairly long handles. Mine does not. On examining it closer, I realize that someone has shortened this handle to the shorter length of an earlier model. Don't think this affects the shave, but it is very maneuverable.
12 hours later... The Junior G Bar is a mild razor, but my face is relatively smooth 12 hrs. later.... I love this razor.... Billy
Mate!,I have never seen anyone post a 'selfie' of their BBS!,I am impressed!.I might post a 'selfie' of my Vision 2000-on max/feather 50hr's later, 5 o'clock shadow now!....LOL!
Well, I haven't either and that's why I did an SAS job and hid the rest of my face encase its bad etiquette or something.... My ugly mug....
LOL!,sure it is no worse than mine mate!.I probably would have put rhino tape over my eyes and mouth, and ended looking like a right idiot! (in fact,I dont even need the rhino tape to look like a idiot!)....LOL!.
Well Sir...I have a two PAL Injectomatics that are excellent shavers ...They are different animals from Schick's.... In terms of performance in my humble opinion will blow most Schick's right out the window Sir....They are just as good as the PAL Adjustable in terms of the end result....They can offer a Deep BBS Result that is difficult to describe...I would go as far as to say they have got to be one of the most underestimated razors ever made Sir....I sent one to my brother a few weeks ago whom is an ardent Schick user and he phoned me up and said this thing just blew my Schick G Type right out the window .... They are not as intuitive to use as Schick's as they are very subtle in many ways....Some folks seem to knock them, but I don't get it personally...They can get a hard time in Forums, but I pertain to the view that a lot of stuff gets lifted and repeated in Forums without any knowledge about them....These just might be the most efficient razors in the World Sir...They look like a Cheap Plastic Toy but so does the M 16 Assault Rifle and Boy what a lovely Toy that is Sir.... All I can say is get one now.... Billy
Now what am I to do with all this MrB? You throw the gauntlet down, then a 'Welcome' mat on top of it? What's a newbie to do? (Stay tuned Monday, same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!)
Jump on the Welcome Mat and go on Magic a Carpet Ride with your Type E Sir...These are very smooth shavers but can be less forgiving that the G Type ...Just don't provoke it and it will be fine.... I liken them to a Little Jack Russell that dance around your ankles always waiting to bite.... Billy
Why thanks for the vote of confidence Billy! Either that, or you and @Bird Lives are big fans of watching car crash scenes! I do like the Magic Carpet Ride idea... (queuing it up for @GDCarrington ...with one of my favorite song intros)
