    Tranquility Wednesday
Another great shave with Reef Point soap. This time I used Tranquility- a pleasing combination of lavender and peppermint that gives a light cool while it calms. Thick lather appeared immediately with the HIS brush, setting up my stubble for the Fatboy. I used a 9-7-7 progression for a drama free BBS. I finished with cologne Russe and Givenchy Pi to carry the lavender note.
    Prep: Van Yulay PSO
    Soap: Reef Point Tranquility
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: 59 Fatboy 9-7-7
    Blade: Voskhod (1)
AS: B&M Cologne Russe; Givenchy Pi

Guys, I almost needed a fur coat when I finished my shave. The Glacial Lemon Chill soap produced FRIGID lather porn for me and really felt like dunking my head into a bucket of ice-cold lemonade. The Glacial Wintergreen balm and witch hazel felt so cold that it was just about borderline-painful. (In a good way, of course!)

    Odin's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Lather: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss soap
    Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (5, 6)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's witch hazel, Pinaud Clubman AS splash
    Cologne: Xeryus

For some reason, my Simpsons brush was still quite damp, despite shaving in the morning and doing my usual routine of squeezing out the excess water yesterday. So, I reached for my cheap boar brush. It works well enough, but the lather wasn't quite as good as I've been getting with the badger. Because I wasn't feeling the lather give as much cushion and glide as I am used to from Ginger's Garden products, I stopped at 2 passes and DFS results. Curiously, the Clubman stung more than the alum, but there was no bloodshed.

I switch it up this morning and went with a cream, and wow what a joy La Toja is. Very little amount of cream and I had a mountain of lather, slick and very cushion-y, as far as the scent goes fresh, clean, soapy. Super shave. Hey I used a Gillette Vector for my head shave yesterday, great results!

I am continuing to go through my sample of D.R. Harris Windsor. The scent is pleasant and it forms a decent lather. I switched from my Slim Adjustable to my Gillette New Long Comb. I got a very nice shave this morning, but did have a small area of irritation. It always takes a day or two before I adjust to a different razor.

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: GEM Micro Matic OC, Dubl Duck Goldedge straight razor
Blade: Gem PTFE coated SE blade (8)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: RazoRock - Don Donato

Happy Wednesday! The #6 brush whipped up the Don Donato into a rich and thick lather. The MM OC paired with the GEM blade and the Duck knocked down the stubble with ease. The Nivea PSB and the Aqua H2O were a nice finish for this Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!

Nice stuff! My I ask you a question? How vain does one have to be to get their name engraved on a vintage razor? Okay, where can I get mine done? :)
