You win. They had me laughing. Now I can't see because I am laughing so hard my eyes are watering. I can't top it, gonna be sore from laughing.
Now that you mention it, Rufus, there does seem to be a certain resemblance... Although, she does smile better.
I lived there for 18 years. You just need to go to the right beaches to see the younger bunch. Spring break is fun though. I can't Wai to be back but, for completely different reasons.
1953 (Y3) Tech Vulfix Super Badger (660) C.O. Bigelow cream Aqua Velva Ice Blue Shave #3 with the Astra Superior Platinum in my birthday Tech. Near repeat of the last two days. Used an almond size dollop of C.O. Bigelow on each side of my neck and squeezed out the water from the Vulfix Super Badger brush and did a face lather. Added a hand scoop of water twice as I went. This time the lather got to the consistency I like and I had plenty for the shave and an additional couple of passes if I'd needed it. 2 full passes: Pass 1 WTG on my face and XTG on my neck. Passes 2: ATG. Comfortable shave. A little closer then yesterday at this point after adjusting the angle to be more toward the cap. Did a cold water rinse and 2 touch ups to capture the baby. The Aqua Velva was angry with me, but quieted down after a bit of yelling. Another comfortable BBS shave from the Astra SP in the Tech. I still needed to do two touch ups to get there, hitting some areas 3 or 4 times, but came home with the baby. Have a great Thursday!
Thank you. The best thing out the year was finding TSD. This really is a special place with so many helpful people.
09/10/2015 Razor – Mongoose B2 with Jürgen Hempel Ti Blade – Feather Pro (6) Brush – Rubberset 400-3 with WSP HMW Lather – Lo Haiku Post - Witch Hazel and Fine Platinum Another fantastic work morning shave. I can tell this blade is getting worn since it was much more effort on the touch ups. Finished off with a splash of Fine Platinum and I'm off to another day of taxes.
SEptember Focus Day 10: Homemade PS Oil Stirling Synthetic Brush Chiseled Face Sherlock Injector Type G Stirling Unscented PSB Aqua Velva Musk I stuck with my two pass, with the second being XTG. This worked well yesterday and again gave a DFS this morning. I am still getting just a little irritation on my mustache; I think I am struggling with the angle there just a bit. The biggest disappointment from this shave was that I wasted some much great lather. I had mounds of it, enough for 5 passes at least. Rinsing the brush out this morning was almost sad.
Wow. Kind of freaky that you know that. But, you gotta admit, that outfit, that hair and that quality lip-synching.....hard to argue with perfection like that.
Absolutely! Especially all the great people that inhabit this thread and are so willing to share their knowledge and experience.
September 30 Day Focus--Blade Search Sept 10 (Hopefully will add a picture later) Razor -- Lord L6 Blade -- Ladas Brush -- VDH Boar Soap -- Stirling Gin and Tonic (M-bombed) Post -- Cold water splash and WH, TSD ISZ Day 1 with the Ladas blade. A very good start for this blade. Performed what has become my usual first pass of WTG on the cheeks, XTG on chin and neck. Pass went very smoothly, almost too smoothly. I was not sure if it was actually cutting anything it seemed so smooth. Had audible feedback, but not as much as some blades have given. Did a cold water rinse and checked. Wow, really nice reduction for a first pass. The GSB and this blade really do an excellent job of slicing through my very coarse hair and leaving very little for the second pass to clean up. Second pass, another very smooth pass. XTG on cheeks, ATG everywhere else. This blade, like the GSB, really does an excellent job ATG. It just glides along with no irritation, no tugging, no problems. Really took my time on the chin and jaw line today so that I could see if this blade could find the baby. Well, after a cold water splash, a little M-bombed witch hazel, and some faceturbating, I declared the baby captured. Added my ISZ for one last cold blast before heading out into the warm, humid morning. (At 7 this morning it was 78 with 80% humidity). My face was incredibly smooth, one of the best shaves I have had. I will be really interested to see just how long the smoothness lasts. With some blades, like the derby, I would have noticeable stubble and roughness in 4-6 hours. With the GSB, I can easily get 8-10 hours out of a decent shave and 12 out of a really good shave. Will be checking all day I am sure to see how this blade holds up, and will definitely be interested in seeing if the next two shaves are as good as this one.
SOTD September 10, 2015 Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Energizing Face Wash Boost Razor: Mongoose B3 Dr. Bomber Handle Blade: Feather Professional Brush: L'Occitane Plisson Lather: Figaro Monsieur Gold Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: Country Club Southern Oud New soap. Figaro is awesome! Great Oud scent, very easy to lather. I've noticed with the Mongoose if your lather is creamy you won't have any issues with it clogging up, dry and you'll spend more time rinsing. The Feather Pro blade gets it done for me. Really nice shave, I like this soap a lot! It's only available at IB. Never let the things you WANT Make you forget the things you HAVE
