Amazing shave this morning from my Super Speed/Derby combination, as well as great lather from my Palmolive Menthol cream along with a LOT of chill which the Rubby Dubby Doo intensified. By the way, this Stirling pre-shave soap really leaves your face nice and clean to make a shave so much easier! :)

May we remember the tragedy of 9/11 and may God keep the souls of those who lost their lives that day forever alive under His protective wings.

today's shave was optimal. all those favorites and which ones questions, could be answered with today's shave. not to say that each element are my personal best, but if I was stuck with these, I'd be happy. three passes left me smooth and comfy. finished with iced atomized Florida water.
hope y'all did as well, or better.

    FRIDAY
    Day 3 of a 7-Day Test Drive
The standard 30-laps of the smooth latigo strop, slick L'Occitane lather and my third shave using this large custom razor. After two days of shaves, I'm finding the 'sweet spot' in handling this razor. I still proceed slowly and with determination, paying close attention to the point. End result: another super smooth shave, no irritation and best of all, no blood-letting.;)
    Have a great Friday, all!

My good shave streak has ended. Today was time for a new soap puck and I just got the Schick adjustable yesterday.

The Lightfoot's Pure Pine "shave soap" is one of those soaps that looks decent in the he mug but you need to relather for each area of the face. My face felt slick when I rinsed but the lather didn't stay unless actively being applied. This will be a candidate for Frankensoap. All my good scraps will be added to this to make it usable.

Yesterday I used my I1 and had a beautiful shave. Today not so much. Started out on 5 but didn't feel it was doing much. Moved to 9 for the other cheek. I ended up finishing on 7, did 2 passes and decided to stop. Definitely no alcohol AS today. I would have been on fire!

Today I tried my new soap; TFS Bergamotto Neroli ... wow!

    Schick Krona DE
    Rapira Platinum Lux blade
Edwin Jagger Silvertip Fibre L brush
TFS Linea Intenso Bergamotto Neroli soap
    Pitralon Original aftershave

The lathering capabilities of the Bergamotto Neroli were the same as from the other TFS Linea Intenso soaps; excellent. But I was blown away by the scent. This is how a citrus soap should smell! Like I was surrounded by freshly sliced lemons and oranges. The scent kept lingering for a bit too, so it was almost a shame to apply the aftershave. This soap is definitely going in my rotation.

that's good that you found a way to use the Lightfoot's, frankensoap is a great idea and it usually makes the soap so much better. At least that is my experience from mixing soaps together.
