6/8 Friodur C&S Oxford and Cambridge homemade brush/ 25mm Shavemac knot (2 band silver-tip) I'm still not back a 100% since my head injury but pretty close. My memory has improved a great deal but I have a short fuse and some nasty head aches which isn't normal for me. Shaving wise, I've been living a monastic life. Just a couple of razors and a couple of soaps and brushes. I'll be back on a more regular basis. Have a good day! upload image online
I gave the Mongoose a rest today. Schick Twinjector TOBS Grapefruit / Cryogen mix. Satin Tip brush Aqua Velva Ice Blue
Razor: Gillette Slim (k3) 1965 (5) (3) (original case and blade pack with instructions) Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48 Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Cream: Truefitt&Hill No 10 Blade: Feather (2) Post shave: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera, Jack Black balm, Halston Z-14 cologne Whipped up the Truefitt&Hill No 10 in a minute with the Silvertip. Nice slick cushion and I really like the scent. The heavy handle and head gave me a nice smooth shave with no pressure with a Feather blade set on 5. WTG and XTG on my face and neck. Then ATG set on 3. Very smooth. The Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera felt good on my face and that natural scent was nice and fresh. After cleanup, I smoothed on some Jack Black, and then some Halston Z-14. Y'all have a good one!

13sep15 I went back to the FB since I had 3 great weeks with it just to find out I should have changed to a new blade. Ended with a decent shave but not a great shave. Used the Dr. Jon's soap for the first time today. It's a very soft soap/cream. Looks grainy in the tin. Very nice lemon/citrus scent, cooling feel on the skin as I shaved. This is the softest soap I've used and wasn't sure how much I needed on the brush. As you can see the lather built nicely and fast.
Up at 4:00AM! Fried 3 Eggs in Olive & Grape Seed Oil, & made Toast; "AFTER" my Double-Cup of "Doughnut-Dark" from our Keurig. (So, I'm lazy!) Am Baking 'Country-White-Bread,' in my "SunBeam" Bread Maker! (Didn't feel like going to the grocery, for bread; because I was having my private Bible-Study, & it was too comforting, to me, to...leave it.) Let our dogs out, & fed them, too! Oh, THAT smell from my breakfast got them going, EARLY. All the while I was 'planning-my-shaving-experience' for my "SUNDAY-SHAVE!" I bought a can of "Barbasol Beard Buster" with Aloe, last week. Now, going-in, I consider my-self a "Brush Efficiencianado!" But the commentaries I've read in "Shave Den," somehow TEMPTED' me; after many years of brushing; for my shaves. I put the Barbasol to an extra-test :ahem:with my Fat Boy, using a 'once-used' blade; & dared it to come out GREAT! I used my hands to apply the suprizingly-THICK lather. And I did a "Double!" Not a Tripple; because I really wanted to 'Challenge Barbasol Shave Cream!' After I applied my "cheap" Pinaud Bay Rum; I took a walk around our house to let it dry. I came in & gently, with the back-hand-side of my fingers, flitted across the contours of my 72 year-old face & neck. I was READY for a "Re-Shave!" But, as much as I enjoy shaving; I found no-need for a 3rd. pass; today! Honestly; Barbasol-in-the-can gave me a 'glide path' I really didn't expect! It was a 'good-runway!' The $2.47 cents I spent served me as well as a similar priced "puck" of decent Shaving Soap! That was my "Sunday Shave!" (Happy Rosh Hashana, too; at Sundown! And, I thank Jesus!)
