If you can get it cheaper? by all means do so! Where I live I can't walk into my local drugstore and buy a tub of Prorao off the shelf. $9.99 for a tub of Proraso delivered to my mailbox is a GREAT DEAL! IMO! YMWV of course. :sport026:

Razor - Ever Ready 1914 Lather Catcher
Blade - [IMG] Pal Blue Carbon SE (1)
    Brush - Omega Pro 48
    Soap - Arko
Post - Cold Water, Alum, The Veg

And, back to SEptember we go. It's a different routine this morning. My day off but I have a job interview in a bit. So, I need a great shave without any cuts/nicks etc. that will add to the image. Obviously I need to stay with something very familiar and that is the least likely to create an issue. So, in true form, I plow ahead to the Lather Catcher and Pal Blue Carbon. You can't scare me.

When I loaded the blade I did have about a half second of doubt. This thing looks aggressive as hell. I had the Pro 48 with Arko ready just to make sure I got enough lather to avoid any problems so no fear. First pass WTG. Where is the angle on this thing? Missed it the first stroke. Too shallow. Relathered that spot and angled out. THERE it is. Wow.....nice feedback like a carbon should give. Going past the ear was an incredible rush of noise. Finished the right side, switched left, held the angle and got the same result. Jawline was a bit rough but I didn't hold the angle as well. Second pass, XTG. Again, great feedback and no problems. Third pass....ATG......could be danger. Nope, no issues and a great feel. Neck still needed a bit of help so I even threw a slide on at the end to finish.

Alum was a bit nasty but I expected that. Other than that just a fantasticly fun and fabulous shave. Finished with the Veg in moderation just to add that air of success and I'm off to impress. Happy Tuesday!

Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: Jack Black cream

Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice Lime original Shulton AS Frosted Glass 1960s
Locked in the Feather blade in the Feather and off we go to another great shave. Whipped up some great lather with the JB and the Badger. Another nice 2 pass shave. Finished with the WH, and then some soothing JB. After cleanup some vintage Old Spice Lime from the '60s. I'm just an Old Spice junkie, but it has to be original Shulton, and the Lime is my favorite. Have a good one y'all!

Not the best and not the worst. I love seeing the photos of everyone's setup, especially the razors of course. This influences my "next" SOTD razor choice many times. Hence the use of my Gillette NEW LC today.

In the past, they seemed a bit aggressive so I don't use them (LC&SC) much. First pass was smooth but I did nick myself a couple times. The second pass felt more aggressive and scratchy across the skin. I stopped there before irritating my skin too much. AOS post shave absorbs nicely and no stinging.

    RAZOR: 1953 GILLETTE TECH
    BLADE: SUPER-MAX STAINLESS
    BRUSH: FINE ANGEL HAIR SYNTHETIC
SOAP: GINGER'S GARDEN GREEN IRISH TWEED
POST: STEPHANS ISLAND LIME/ ALOE VERA GEL

Dis a quick 2 pass shave today. This was my first time with the glycerin Ginger's Garden. It wasn't bad but I think I prefer the coconut oil formula, however the scent of the GIT is great and I had no problem getting a decent lather. I did feel some slight burning on the second pass, so I think I will let the soap air out and return to it and see if it happens again. The shipping was very fast and they arrived like 2 or 3 days after I ordered so the service was awesome. Hope everyone had a great day and a great shave!!
