Day 15 - SEptember 2015 30 Days with a Schick G Day seven on the blade. I did a soap test today, it's a blind test so I don't know what I am testing. It did produce slick protective lather, and the scent was in green tea/Fougere territory. The two pass automatic ensued. Summer is winding down here on the prairie, I am planning a calm evening outdoors with Mrs Samurai, the evening is gonna be beautiful here, and good stargazing with the moon so new. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Today’s shave was a beautiful two pass BBS that felt fantastic. My new supersoft Rubberset 400 #4 TGN High Mountain White reset by @clint64 whipped up a ton of delightful MDC Fougere. Finished this one off with The Sanctuary’s Whipped Shea Butter and a generous splash of Icy TSD Barbershop Aftershave Splash.
Well gents, that was probably the most enjoyable shave I've had in a while! Popped the Ladas blade in the R41, set it to the side and got to work on my lather. I've been sticking to the 10 count on swirls but I pulled out the Chiseled Face soap and AS today. Knew I needed am extra good lather with the bloodletter, and I'm better at that one. Whip, whip, nay, na... Just kidding. Seriously I kept whipping it until it sounded like cool whip. Past where I usually go with it and I won't ever be lazy with my lather again. Slicker than I am after a 4 mile run. Great stuff! So I pick up my razor and it was quite the pleasant velcro pulling session on my face. I thought the Derby was the blade for the R41. I was incorrect. The Ladas beat it out hands down. Started XTG, did an 1/2 ATG with no irritation so just to be on the safe side I switched to the Tech for the last touch ups. Slapped that AS on my face and boom! Nice pleasant burn with no alcohol sting! That's how I now do BBS when I have about 20-25 minutes to shave!
Well Clint, who wouldn't agree. Mark's photos are always so clean! Which makes me begin to wonder ...I mean, does he even use the stuff! Look at that stuff - not a fingerprint on it!!! Here's another ! I'm beginning to suspect he's just some full-bearded, Duck Dynasty type who just finds professional photos of shave stuff just to torment us, have us flock to the bay, and spend more money so we can try to be like Mark! (Cool photos, Mark)
Actually they do make soaps. Or at least Razo Rock made them for Fine. They're out of stock right now.
The Mongoose is just as you say, hard to compare to anything else once you get going with it, and hard to stop using it. Great looking set up BTW!
