Hey, thanks guys. Sorry, no facial hair or camo. I do use it all except some NOS stuff. Amateur photography hobby 50+ years. All pics are iPhone 6+. Photo editing helps. Micro fiber cloth too.
Most impressive! IMHO, 50+ years = passion. And it shows in your work. Thanks for sharing it with all of us!

Thanks for noticing Rufus. I'm still taking lessons from Il maestro @celestino and @HolyRollah. Love your hobbies as much as you can.
Thanks Kerry! It has an awesome camera. Pictures and videos. You can even Zoom in and take a picture. Nice for Landscape shots. I likey!
I appreciate that RT, hope you're here with me and the other permanent newbies for a long time to come. I don't ever wanna be a forum vet. This newbie stuff is too much fun to ever leave behind!

Love the down stroke with the duck but cut myself east of my mouth twice in two consecutive shaves. The 24 was kind to me. No nicks or cut. 1st pass on cheek was perfect. Listening to soothing classical music just added to the enjoyment. I still feel unsure of myself when going S/N with my non-dominate hand but everything else was like clockwork. On community: What makes certain forums special is their inclusion of all who share the passion. The fact that we all gather here is pretty neat. We are all different men, in different places, living different lives...probably believing different things. Being able to gather here and share the knowledge, the humor, and sometimes even our hardships is a precious thing. I have never been a part of a more friendly and encouraging group as the thing we have going on here. Always think of the others first. Always be thoughtful in reaction, and quick to help when asked. Stay involved, and you'll always be involved. But most of all, realize when something is precious. Guard that which is precious. You may now resume the regularly scheduled shenanigans. and pass the cookies....
Talk about lyrics. This one gives you the lyrics, but it's still almost unintelligible. Especially after several cold ones.
Don't go out tonight, and get into a fight, or pass out in the bathroom on the right... Fogerty was an original.
It's interesting that they were coming up at the same time as the Dead and Jefferson Airplane in SF. They totally rejected psychedelic rock in favor of a Southern roots sound that is more Memphis and New Orleans than Fillmore West. It worked out for them.
True. They had that swamp rock sound, but even still managed to work a little psychedelic in every now and then. Just listen to the lyrics to Looking out my back door.
for a time in HS, I would fall asleep to the LP "Surrealistic Pillow" by Jefferson Airplane, a standard in what the psychedelic sound was in the mid sixties. I was really more talking about the pure stylistic differences, but CCR was definitely a product of their age. Skynyrd was a band that truly did both styles all at once (Simple Man), much like the Allman bros. CCR was also quite socially conscious in their lyrics (Born on the Bayou, Fortunate Son) and can't be separated from the anti war movements.
1953 (Y3) Tech Vulfix Super Badger (660) Proraso Sandalwood cream Aqua Velva Ice Blue Shave #2 with the Gillette Silver Blue in my birthday Tech. A comfortable BBS shave. Face lathered, then did 2 full passes: Pass 1 WTG on my face and XTG on my neck (wings to center today). Pass 2: ATG. Did a cold water rinse followed by a few targeted touch ups in my problem areas and caught the baby. The Aqua Velva complained for a bit and caused a couple of my trouble spots to show some stubble. Did a cold water splash and a touch up recaptured the baby. Another nice BBS shave from the Gillette Silver Blue in the Tech.
SEptember Focus Day 16: Homemade PS Oil VDH Boar Brush Cella Gem G Bar Stirling Unscented PSB Proraso AS I really slowed down and took my time this morning. I watched the angles, in fact I went really shallow this morning, and I was careful to use no pressure. The result: a DFS with no irritation. It was a really great shave this morning. I ran a bit late, but it was probably the most enjoyable pre work shave I have had in a long time. It almost felt like a weekend. Have a great Wednesday; mine is off to a great start.
