I used an Astra SP in the Fatboy for the first time since May and what a performer! This was as smooth and easy a BBS as I've ever had. I nicked my mole, but that was my fault. Rhapsody and Russe did the trick, they seem made for each other.

Another nice, in fact very nice shave. The Personna blade knocked off the stubble so easily and the Godrej Menthol Mist cream delivered on the rich, stable lather while giving me a great chilly sensation, which the Alt Innsbruck intensified.

Love the Pal Adjustable razor. Have found the right setting and am getting fabulous shaves with it. Now if it just didn't get so slippery during the shave I'd be all set.

 

I wish that I could get the complexity and clarity you achieve using my iPhone.

I just couldn't seem to get my lather consistent this morning. The first pass was too dry, the second too wet, and the third too dry. Since it could not possibly be my technique, I'll blame it on the soap. Still, it was a very smooth shave.

Razor: Valet Autostrop, French Fau Frame Back straight razor
Blade: Modified GEM PTFE coated SE blade (7)
Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
Soap: Speick
After: Home made ASB, Speick after shave
Cologne: Midnight In Paris

Happy Thursday! With a little coaxing, the Vie Long brush turned the Speick into a nice and thick lather. The Valet and the Frenchy did a good job knocking down the stubble. The Speick AS and the Midnight In Paris were a nice finish for this Darn Fine Shave.

THURSDAY
My first shave with this vintage C-MON HF and it was a good one. The CMONs always seem to have a soft-feeling edge, smooth and are a real joy to shave with.
This razor waas finished on an Apache Strata natural, after using a Naniwa SS 1k-12k progression. HHT4+ territory…

my first look at Speick AS. From the outside it looks like Gillette Cool Wave AS Splash. Nice bottle.

Rustic Shaving Soap Mahogany today. 20 seconds to load the oscar11 HMW. Easy, thick, lather. Personna Med Prep still in the NEW SC. Great smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Southern Oud.
