Yeah, you have to watch those Chick blades you know Sir...They have the habit of leaving eggs & accidentally hatching more Chick blades...:happy097:

Oh my my. First shave with the E2 and oh how it glides and magically whacks the whiskers away! I couldn't believe it. The whole time I kept reminding myself that this is an aggressive shaver and a light touch would be best - like handling cotton candy. Well, it worked - no nicks, cuts or weepers and an amazing smooth shave. Effortless, really. I think this is my new favorite SE. :happy036:

That's a lovely example of an E 2 Karl....These are nice with the Chick blades in them...Very forgiving with these blades...You get some of those other blades you mentioned and it will really transform it again...:p
    Glad you like it...:chores016:

Schick Type C (Magazine Repeating Razor).
I’ve got two different types - I used the C3 (safety bar) yesterday, today I’ll us the C1 (open comb).

    Morning shave
    Hot Shower
    Soap: Arko stick
    Brush: Omega Pro 48
    Razor: Schick C1
    Blade: Schick Injector (China) (1)
Thayers Lemon & Aloe Witch Hazel
    After Shave: Myrsol Limon
    $_57.JPG

Another great two-pass shave similar to the one yesterday with the C3.
I could not really tell any difference between the two with just one shave on each. There is something cool though about the looks of an open comb.

As I mentioned yesterday, I’m interested in these because of their compact design, making it a very good candidate for a travel razor.

Tomorrow I begin to test a few of my GEM razors.

    Cheers!

Day three with the F and results are great once again. Ive only tried this razor with the Plus Plat blade and think it might be even better with the Chick blades.

I only say that with my limited experience with injector blades, the Chick blades performed better tha the plus platinum.

You and me both Karl....I'm quite into my new E2 aswell....It's super impressive...it doesn't creep in or make the scene with a low profile....This one is a stand-out!

So far during Single Edge SEptember I've experienced razors I’ve never used before:

    • six different Schick injectors (Type C1, C3, E, G, I and J)
    • one PAL Adjustable.
I’m somewhat embarrassed to say, but if I’m going to make it through SE September and all my SEs, I will need to shave with 7 more razors - all Gems - in 14 days!

(and I never, ever thought I’d say this, but I remind myself more and more of @NCoxSTL …with his 30 razors in 30 days with 30 different blades! :scared011:
I swear, most of these are lot purchases or second-hand store discoveries. I don’t have RAD, really, I don’t. Really!!!) :innocent
I’m going to try to progress through the Gems from mild though the aggressiveness spectrum, because yes, I am a wimp. :scared003:
    Morning shave

    Brush: Omega Pro 48
    Razor: 1950s Gem Featherweight

    After Shave: Myrsol Limon

Two-pass shave and unfortunately in a bit of a rush for work.

Very nice shave, skin was left clean and smooth all the way around. I just used the flat razor head against my skin and off I went. A bit too quickly as there was much more irritation in the end than I’m used to.

But I get to do it again tomorrow!
    Cheers!

Received my order from EMS today.

Now the question becomes do I stick with my tried and true DE razor tomorrow for a known good shave or do I use a SE razor tomorrow and potentially hack my face and irritate my skin one day before the Seattle Shave Con?

I say try a small spot on your cheek (face cheek) where It`s flat, if it goes well, extend the area until you become confident. I`m pretty sure you will be pleasantly surprised. My Schick J1 is the best razor I have, and I have some fairly expensive de razors.

    Good luck, Bill

I was totally surprised at how well the Schick razors perform. I have almost exclusively used Schick injectors since getting a Type J. I now own five and counting....

I had one excellent shave with my I1 and two not so good shaves with my adjustable and one not good at all shave with the G8. May have been the blade... That's why I wanted to wait till this order came in to try more blades.

Hmmm, I guess I'll sleep on it.

I also have a personna injector with a floating head, I never fail to nick myself with it so I use the little J1. I DO NOT remember even one sign of blood anywhere with it.
