Beautiful. Nice looking brush and razor. Love the handle on both. Great looking set.

I find the F Type to be a very forgiving injector...Works well with a Chick blade and a light touch...Very easy to unwittingly damage a blade when loading these as well....Took me more than a moment to realize that Sir... ;)

SEptember 18. The Damaskene rules. Of all my 1912's, the Damaskene gave me my smoothest shave.

9/18/2015 Single Edge September! Frozen Friday!

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Cobra Classic, Wade & Butcher Bow straight razor
    Blade: Feather Professional (10)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Chiseled Face - Cryogen
After: Home made ASB, Osage Rub after shave
    Cologne: Midnight In Paris

It is Frozen Friday! The #6 brush did a good job whipping the Cryogen into a nice and freezing lather. The Cobra and the W&B did a great job removing the stubble. The Osage Rub and the Midnight In Paris were a nice finish for this Darn Fine Shave +.

    Have a blessed day!

Today was the last day with the Gem G-bar and I'm running out of things to say about it. It is a consistent shaver giving me very nice two pass DFS's with just a little cleanup. I'm not sure I will ever get BBS but I'm happy with the shaves I'm getting.

We do love our Florida Water. When I use for AS it becomes a body splash. Must be more plentiful on the west coast than right here in Florida(southern most part of NY&NJ).

It's not easy to find here either. I found mine in an old small town drug store 300 miles from home. Reorder will probably be online.

Just a quick post. Used a Gem Pushbutton today.
Cool mechanism idea with the pushbutton, loads easily.

    Gem Pushbutton.JPG

1st pass - Mild razor. Minor blade feedback, so-so reduction on XTG pass.
2nd pass - Reduced the remaining stubble to rubble as I hoped on ATG pass. Audible feedback was just right, no tugging.

    Clean, close, comfortable shave.

I’m zipping through some of these razors as I’m going to the Seattle Shave Convention tomorrow and wanted to have a few for potential trades.

    Enjoy your weekend,
    Cheers!

One of the thing that surprises me about this thread is the lack of wedge style single edge and Wilkinson Empire razors. Not to say that there has not been a lot of cool razorsnd certainly a wide variety or brushes and creams shown. It has been a good source of entertainment. Are the wedge razors really that rare?

    Day 18 - SEptember 2015

    30 Days with a Schick G

    image.jpg
Day two brought perhaps the best shave of the month! Went back to Plisson and the La Toja. People may have noticed @RaZorBurn123 (Kerry) and I bantering about La Toja. It's that good. For real. Perfect lather everytime. I caught the grail on one, and went for BBS on two with minimal touchup. Every time I think a DE is going to become my fave, I try another injector. Couple more days of soap tests this month and it will be time figure out what what my plan is for October. Awesome sunny 74F day on the prairie. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a great weekend!

Unfortunately, I am in Denver, Colorado. Mrs Samurai and I have a commitment that week that would preclude travel to the Miami area. Though in October, South FL sure is nice!
