A big THANK YOU to Matt and everyone who arranged this get together. I had a great time! I got to meet some great people, eat some good food, and walked away with some amazing goodies! I even ran into someone that I knew from work but hadn't seen for 10 years.
The wife and I had a blast. Afterwords, we went on the underground tour, hiked around Pikes market, and are now back where we started at Fadó having dinner.
As the last guy at Fado's, I wound up with the banner. I'll bring it back next year, Matt. Edit: Oh wait, next year it's the Portland Shavecon, right?

It was that or the Hart straight razor. I've been wanting as DS01 a lot longer than I've wanted a Hart.
Glad everyone had a great time. I should have a ton of pictures in a few days. Didn't realize I had forgotten the banner... oh well. I am officially dog tired and going to have a jot shower and a cold beer. It was a blast seeing everyone and I counted 45 people at the peek!
Someone nicked one of my e-cigarettes while I was there. Either that or I accidentally packed it in with all my other stuff. Either way, no regrets. Had a great time and was able to put faces to forum names, and met a lot of great people. I still can't believe the other Shavemac brush was one of the last items picked. My cousin could of had it, but he grabbed a nice synthetic instead. I thought about subtly guiding him (i.e. shouting "SHAVEMAC!") but I let him choose his own path. Edit: my cousin grabbed the Whipped Dog synthetic, which was a good choice for him, as it seems to have one of the best reputations among synthetics, and the best handle type.
Sheesh, can't believe it about the e-cig. Hoping it'll turn up in your stuff. Don't blame your cousin too much - after all, did you see what I took with my pick? - a t-shirt! Doh!
Because you wanted that shirt. You didn't even walk over to the table, you just said "I'll take the shirt!"
I can pick up a cardboard poster mailer and send it off to you, if you don't want to wait until next year to get it back.
Yeah, three cheers for Matt....You asked me when I was splitting if I had a good time....GOODTIME?.....I had a Blast and it changed my life....OK? You Dig? Actually it was too cool to get to meet alot of you Denizens out in the Wild....Now I'm wondering how many of you I looked at your name tag but didn't see your Shave Den name so, I remained clueless....}8^)) I'm not kidding about it changing my life....Some incredible generousity was going down, and I have some nice pieces to remember this great time with, and I received one of my biggest Holy Grail razors...I'll be posting and reviewing....In the meantime, suffice it to say...I'll be remembering today for awhile....
