This is correct. I believe it was donated to the raffle? This is probably the twenty-third time I've had to apologize for not getting the box out. I am packing it now. I didn't take a lot out or add a lot to it, because I'm still very new, and don't have much of a den. I put the Cremo in I think y'all should try it. For being latherless it provides good slickness, but I like my brush.

Here is a couple pictures of my current task.

Update! The box is packed and ready to go. I will have my secretary mail it out on Monday.

Also, I am so glad I was able to get involved in this. I learned two very important things that will save me some money. First, I do not like the weight balance on TTO razors, so I am glad I did not order a slim, like I had planned. Second, I do not care for bay rum scent at all. It sounds like it would smell great, but I just don't care for it.

I wish you would have asked me this a few hours earlier. There is a bay rum after shave cologne in the box that I think is terrible. However, I will say that I do not like The Veg, but this other one, I think, is worse.

Not all bay rums are created equal. Derby City Chop Shop's small batch shave Tonic is a fantastic bay rum, and I quite like Master's as well. Ogallala bay rum uses a goodly amount of anise oil, which is a major turn off for me. I don't like walking around smelling like spiced cider.

Did the box get shipped out?

Ogalla Bay Rum, I agree has very bay rum more spices.

It has been shipped. It did not get shipped yesterday. My secretary could not send it out, because I did not give her a name and an address. I dropped it off at the post office this morning.

Oh, it's not done yet. It just skipped the other fellow in the NW who didn't make it to the shave con.

Vince was kind enough to give me the money he would have paid to ship the box to the next person, and I will use those funds to do so. We decided that since I paid for the initial mailing of the box, we'd let Fishcrow keep his money in exchange for his hard work in setting up this year's box tour.

    If that sounds confusing, sorry.

I pulled what I wanted out, and have most of the items I'm putting in all together. My cousin took the opportunity to graze from the wonders of the box as well, but he also provided items to put in it as well.

As a side note, the construction quality on the Chinese and Lord razors in the box is amazingly bad. My commitment to vintage is reaffirmed. :p

Photos sometime tomorrow. I took them already, but haven't uploaded them yet.

One last stop before heading back to Fort Smith. I have enjoy seeing the newer ones have fun with the box. The box will make one last tour for 2015. I'm taking names now for that tour. If are newer it is a great way to try other stuff.

Thank you everyone for making the tours successes.

    I see-
    [IMG]
    I take-
    [IMG]
    Gillette Travel Tech
    GEM pushbutton
    Schick Eversharp Injector
(I'm giving SE and Injectors another chance, as my previous razors were "aggressive.")
Vintage bottle of Ingram's shave cream
(Proof that I will try anything once) :)
    De Vergulde Hand shave stick
    Injector blades
Ogallala bay rum and sweet orange shave soap
Sample jars of Tabac and Speick Men Active
    Coate's Lime shave cream
and a decant of Floid Suave
A lot of things there that I've wanted to try, but never got around to it.

My cousin took the unknown soap in the wood bowl (smells good, whatever it is) the black handled super speed and a pack of Feathers.

He reciprocated by donating his Mehaz razor (German made TTO) and two stocking stuffer sized bottles of cologne.

I'm still gathering up stuff, but one of the items going in the box is a chunk of Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica.

The soap in the wood bowl is TOBS jermyn street.

The Gem PB is nice and mild but not so much the G type. If you want to try a mild injector, the I type is very nice especially the Hydro Magic version.

the G isn't very mild but mine is so smooth it feels like it would be a chore to cut myself with it. I don't have a gem push button but the Gem I have is almost scary in how it feels and I've been told its a mild razor. YMMV at its finest.

I'm pretty new and missed this round, but I'd be interested in being part of the next tour. Seems like a lot of fun and a chance to try some stuff I've only heard about.

Putting in the travel box. The SV Felce Aromatica is going to lose it's box. I picked up a new large box while I was at the post office today, and will pick up a postcard tonight. Box will go out tomorrow.
Excellent. I thought it was something vintage and discontinued. Smells really nice. I'll have to add the TOBS Jermyn Street shaving cream to my list of things to buy.
