I'll be using something I never had before - the Edwin Jagger Menthol cream and the Lucky Tiger Menthol aftershave cream! :)

That's one of my favorite shaves too! Proraso green and Aqua Velva go great together.

    image.jpg Razor: Feather AS-D2 2015
Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 300L with TGN Silvertip 18/51
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream/soap: Seifenglatt Shave Soap Barber Shop
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Nivea Men Post Shave Balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1956 glass AS Stopper #3

Locked in the Feather blade in the Feather and off we go. Whipped up some good thick lather with the Silvertip in my favorite Old Spice mug. A nice 2 pass shave, with some touch up on my neck. This razor is easy to get carried away with, so I have to be careful not to over buff an area, or I will pay. Finished with the WH, and then some Nivea for a change of pace. After cleanup some vintage Old Spice original Shulton from 1956. Y'all have a good one!

Just ordered one on the bay $20. I'd been looking for a replacement for the old Panasonic I had. Thanks!:eatdrink013:

I've got my groove back. Another DFS/CCS from the Goodfella.

The C&E Sweet Almond Oil lathered beautifully. Just needed to add some water to it yesterday and let it "rehydrate". Works perfectly now.

The Bay Rum is strong today.. Didn't seem this strong yesterday. I think tomorrow I'll use the Sandalwood AS.

This week, it'll be mostly Vitamin E week for me. I'll be using:
    Col Conk Almond Shave Soap
    Proraso Blue Aftershave Balm
    Simpson Best badger brush
Merkur Progress adjustable with Feather blade.

Was running real late this morning so I grabbed the Mongoose as I knew it would perform well for me - and even allow me to get away with just one pass (which is what happened).
    Great razor.

Proguard blade (5th or 6th use and still sharp)

60 yo newbie’s intro to traditional shaving. (Week 19 AC*)

    Single-Edge SEptember

So far this month I've shaved with a variety of Schick injectors for the first time (Type C1, C3, E, G, I and J), a PAL Adjustable injector and a few Gems (1912, Featherweight and Pushbutton).

Still working my Gem SEs, with today’s shave using a 1941 Gem (Micromatic) "Clog Prufwith a Gem PTFE blade.

I’m on my 4th shave with the blade, don’t know have many more I can get from it? Will it be affected by what I’ve heard is a more aggressive razor?

    GemClogPruf.JPG

Two-day stubble, means three pass shave.

1st pass - Definitely feels like a more aggressive razor just based on significant blade feedback, passable reduction on WTG pass.

2nd pass - XTG pass reduced most of the remaining stubble to what is normally left prior to my last pass. Audible feedback was still significant but no tugging.

3rd pass - ATG had beyond the usual amount of feedback I’ve gotten from the other Gems in the ATG pass. Resulted in a very nice shave, mostly clean and no irritation.

Will try a new blade tomorrow to compare the shave quality.

    Cheers!

Yesterday I shaved with the GFT Coconut Soap, with mediocre result. Today I wanted to use the cream equivalent of this soap.

The brush I wanted to use was the #6 boar/horse brush from Turkey. I have a few of those laying around that I include in a shave kit I give away to friends and coworkers as an introduction to wet shaving.

Anyway, when I opened the tub and started lathering up, I smelled a very foul odour. At first I thought that the cream had gone sour on me, but it was soon apparent that the smell came from the brush, I had picked out a brand new one, and not my usual #6 brush. The stink was much worse than I remembered from these brushes, and I think I have to soak this one in vinegar and CK Fahrenheit before I can use this one again.

I managed to replace it and start anew, and was rewarded with that luscious delicious smelling lather that GFT Coconut Cream is known for throughout the universe.

The Croma Diamant blade is a new acquaintance of mine. I purchased a pack last week and had almost forgotten about it. I loaded a blade in my Merkur 34c and started shaving. It took about two strokes before the blade started protesting. It was not pleased about the situation and informed me that diamond blades does not shave ugly people. I ignored it and continued with my shave. It resisted me all the way, and it was apparent that the blade was neither sharp nor smooth enough to compete in the top ten blades in my rotation.

I did my usual three passes, got a decent enough result and will try the blade again in a different razor.

    Razor: Merkur 34c
    Blade: Croma Diamant Stainless
    Brush: #6 Boar Brush
Cream: Geo F Trumper Coconut Cream
    Aftershave: Proraso's Aftershave Splash
    Balm: Fitjar Shea/BodyButter

I'm with you on the GFT Coconut cream. Great lather and wonderful scent. Better then the TOBS IMHO. I like a Feather blade in my 34c, but the Feathers only last me two 3 pass shaves. I use a very light touch and can feel the difference after two shaves. The GFT is in my top 4.

Another great shave tonight. Probably a BBS shave after spending a little time working with the Ever-Ready 1914 razor. Still have difficulty getting close around the noise. The 34C cleans up what the 1914 misses. Knockout Shave Cool Blue is a great soap which leaves a slick coating on my face.

The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #1 Silver Tip brush. Two passes with my Schick M2 Adjustable Injector razor and a Personna SS Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Florida Water as an after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
