Today I bought a gillette travel kit including a mach 3 with a cartridge on it, a balm gel, a canned goo gel and a nice travel bag for $6. Actually I bought all these stuff for just the bag And I bought a synthetic brush from the same rossmann store for $7.
Another L Type to add to my collection. It's only in user grade condition but the price was right and I haven't been too successful finding a L7 Championship model that doesn't have some of the stripes worn off. A little more metal polish on the head maybe but there's not much I can do about the plastic yellowing along the edges. It'll be a good shaver till I find one in better condition.
Not sure it'd be worth it to you but around $7 from Hobby Lobby would fix those stripes..Testors red and blue enamel, plus some really narrow modeler's masking tape.
Love the Red Tip. Nice job where did you have it done? Mine's in excellent condition but may want to replate it. Photos aside, in rhodium, it's beautiful.
I used Razor Emporium. They do great work, but you have to have patience because they have a large backlog.
I had mine reconditioned by them earlier this year. It's one of my favorites. Patience... I have other razors that are in rotation so I'll have plenty of time.
