Well, either valor or laziness led the day today. Didn't have to be at orientation for the new job until 10 so I slept in a bit, had a nice breakfast and hit the shower. Hey, the Rimei and 1918 were a good match yesterday so why not give it a third day on the blade and just enjoy another aggressive shave. After all I can throw the BoS and Tabac at it for a great lather. What's the worst that could happen? Well, ok so it wasn't quite that bad. The WTG pass was good if a bit more aggressive than yesterday on the neck. I can tell the blade is good for three shaves and no more. Went for XTG and had my first problem. I can't even blame it totally on the blade but.....there was a small bump near my right ear. I suspect it was a bug bite from yesterday's romp in the woods. I didn't notice it in the mirror, nor did the WTG catch it. Boy did the XTG though. I mean I felt it nearly stop the blade then almost in slow motion just go right through. Yeah, fun sensation. With the aggressiveness of the '18 it was a moment I won't soon forget. Looked at the mirror and saw the nice river of blood running down to my jaw line. Washed it off, very small cut actually, so away we go with the rest of the XTG. Finished that pass at DFS like yesterday so good enough for the day. Started repairs with cold water and pressure, alum, more cold water then a styptic treatment. All's well and the first day is done and I'm home. Hope your Monday treated you well.

Tuesday morning: One day before my hernia surgery.

Alt Innsbruck AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Before dinner I test-lathered the new Edwin Jagger Menthol cream and I find it to be very easy to lather. The scent is ok, but so far not really the type I go for but perhaps it'll grow on me with time. It's not a face-freezer by any means, but its cooling effect is still very pleasant and it appears to have good moisturizing properties. The Lucky Tiger aftershave cream smells almost exactly like Noxzema and it's also quite cooling with an excellent soothing sensation - a very old-school item which I think I'm going to love. The Alt Innsbruck aftershave is awesome. I love the scent, and is it ever cold! ;) :D

Thanks my friend. I'm so nervous about it. Not so much about the operation, but the pain level afterwards.

Don't worry about the pain, my friend! They have some good pain meds for after and the way they do thinks now it is not nearly as invasive as it use to be.

    Praying for your quick recovery!

@crackstar sending positive thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. Jeff, don't worry about it! When I had my last hernia surgery as soon as I woke up the nurse had two pain pills and a cup of juice in hand. Take it easy for a couple of days.

Jeff, my cousin had that surgery a few years ago. He stayed with my Mom for the recovery. Whenever I visited(she lives closeby)he needed my help to pick up and lift a lot of items.
