Clint, I'm not complaining at all. I have 2 razors that I've never used, and 1 I'm just getting started with.

Yet another day and another shave with the Jack Black cream. Looks like it will be all gone before the month is up.
It has been very helpful so far, focusing on one cream only this month. I found that it needs a fair amount of water, added in small doses, until it gets the consistency I like.[IMG]

I understand I'm the same way. I'm really looking forward to OC October for the same reason. I enjoy using my other razors and knowing that I can come back to a great drama free shave with the Mongoose anytime I want.

    Day 22 - SEptember 2015

    30 Days with a Schick G

    image.jpeg

Embarked on a three day test run of a new scent from @TheSoapExchange , and had good results. I believe it's time to change this blade, but otherwise it was the automatic two-pass capped off with TSD 2x Iced Barber Shoppe to match the soap. Average beautiful seasonal weather today on the prairie. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a wonderful Wednesday!

So many posts to read. Not gonna get to it right now, but I wanted to check in. Another shave yesterday. Got the Ladas in the R41. Used a chiseled face Sherlock sample I have and the Sherlock AS. Great stuff. First pass, waaaaaaay low on the water in the soap. Fixed that. Survived the first pass with no blood. Had a Weezer after the third pass sometime after I put on the AS. That was kinda weird. Great shave. Barely felt any sting from the AS. Didn't need to shave today at all.

    The Crazy Ivan in SEptember!
    September 22

Razor - Gillette '59 Super Speed
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (1)
Brush - Vie Long 12601 The Pony
Soap - TSD Lanolin Bay Rum
Post - Cold Water, Alum, Nivea

What's the best part of doing a Crazy Ivan focus? Why the ability to listen to the voices and change things up of course! Today should have been the start of the Schick M2 but Ivan wasn't in the mood, so it was a day to load up the '59 SS and a Sharp Star. The Sharp Star is a Russian blade from Moscow that really does a great job. One of my top three blades, well top 5 anyway. Smooth, effective and all around nice shave every time I've used it. Pairing the pony with TSD Lanolin was a great idea with a fantastic Bay Rum lather and lots of it. No issues with the shave, alum was quiet, the Nivea was a nice touch and off to work I went. Ivan says we can do the Schick tomorrow, unless of course he changes his mind again. Depends on how much Vodka he has tonight. Crazy Russian.

Ok, just catching up on a lot here this evening and now you've done it. You invoked ELP!! My all time, eternal and never ending favorite. I was around 14 when I first discovered them from my sister-in-law and I have every album (well now digital of course) and was privileged to see them in concert back in the day. I can almost sing Karn Evil 9, 1st impression word for word still. Oh, and Lucky Man, Jerusalem, The Only Way, and many more. In fact, headphones are going on, media player up and all I can say is Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome EMERSON...........LAKE.............and PALMER! (Cue synth)

There's absolutely nothing like waking up from the dormancy soooo many years later, discovering a somewhat forgotten tune and then having it all wash over you again for hours as you resurrect every YouTube search, etc for those cuts that bring you there in an instant. Don't stay up too late with it all!

Guys. I tweaked my right knee (damage knee) getting up out of my chair, and fell. It's swollen and throbbing. I sent an email and picture to my doctor. I can barely stand on my leg. :(

Take up to 800 mg of Advil or ibuprofen that will address some of the swelling

Working through Works Vol. 1 at the moment. A little Trilogy to follow. I'll just drink extra coffee in the morning. Rock on!

Praying that it's not too serious. Get some ice on it and elevate it above your heart. That should help with the swelling and throbbing.

Prayers sent that it is not too serious! Definitely get it elevated and cover with an ice pack if possible. Hopefully your doctor will get in touch quickly!

Now that you've had medical advice from the three of us, let's hope the real Doctor gets back to you soon.
