It's 2:27am PST I couldn't sleep any longer, my knee is throbbing, I wasn't able to straighten it out all night :( I think I'll shave later with a stool in the bathroom:signs002:
I'm hoping to get into my orthopedic surgeon/Doctor today or tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that. I had hoped the swelling and pain would go down during the night. Maybe you can get an appointment quickly.

I'm hoping Clint, my right is so damaged my surgeon says it's a knee of a 90 year old man. I've had major knee issues for the last 7 years.

Thank you Bill! I'll have more information later on today, for now I'm icing and staying off my knee. My wonderful wife is setting up my old shaving table, when I was bedridden for a year. So I'll be shaving shortly. :happy088:

Ouch! Sad to read this, hope it will feel better soon. Can't give you any advice on meds, normally I would recommend a good whisky or bourbon but you'll have to decide which one will have the best effect.
    Be well soon!

    1954 (Z1) Gold Tech
    Vulfix Super Badger (660)
    Proraso Sandalwood cream
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Shave #2 with the Gillette 7 O’clock Super Platinum (Black) in my Gold Tech. Near BBS shave.
Face lathered, then did 2 full passes: Pass 1 WTG on my face and XTG on my neck (top to bottom today). Pass 2: ATG. A solid DFS at this point. Tried to pay attention to the angle of attack to try to get better reduction from my passes, and was rewarded with less touch up to do. Did a cold water rinse followed by some targeted touch up in my problem areas. Decided that I would not be aggressive today and just let the razor do its work or accept things if it wouldn't.

Another near BBS from the Tech and the Gillette 7 O’clock Black. A more enjoyable shave than yesterday because I didn't worry about catching the baby. I think I actually got a slightly closer shave than yesterday. At least, I only feel the hint of some stubble in one of my trouble spots.

I have pain meds. Even those aren't working. I've been through this before. It's disheartening.

Razor – Mongoose B2 with Triad SS Helix
Blade – Feather Super Pro (8)
Brush – Rubberset 400 #3 with WSP HWM
    Lather – B&M Latha
Post - Witch Hazel and Captain’s Choice Bay Rum

Another fantastic 2 pass with touch ups near BBS shave this morning. Used the Latha again this morning. Since I am nearing the bottom of this soap, I plan on using it more often just to get done and thin the inventory. Finished with a splash of CC Bay Rum with menthol crystals added. Nice cool finish to a great shave. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

I can emphasize, pain just affects everything. I do hope you get some relief from the pain quickly.

    SEptember Focus Day 22:

    Homemade PS Oil
    Stirling Synthetic Brush
    Stirling Port-au-Prince SS
    Injector Type G
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Fine Fresh Vetiver

Unlike Crazy Ivan, I don't listen to the voices in my head. They were there again telling me to put down the razor. But, in another example of doing the same thing yet expecting different results, I kept hacking away at my neck. I am pretty smooth, but definitely irritated. Sometimes I just have learn the hard way.

The Stirling Port-au-Prince SS was wonderful this morning. I think it was possibly the best lather I have ever gotten. Slick, thick, and yogurt like. I like how it goes with the Fine Fresh Vetiver as well.

Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Energizing Face Wash Boost
    Razor: Gillette British Rocket
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue
    Lather: Dusy Kabinett
    Brush: Omega 10098
Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate
    Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Capri
Superb shave. The Gillette British Rocket is a favorite of mine of the Gillette's. I get really close shaves from the Rocket. Irritation free, Nick free. Dusy Kabinett is fresh and lovely, a nice subtle rose scent. The Omega 10998 continues to impress me with the way it performs.

My wife is amazing! She set up a folding table, bowl with hot water, mirror and towels. I couldn't stand long enough to shave in front of a mirror, plus I need a head shave. :)
