I agree! I used the same knot myself this morning, a 22mm set in an Ever-Ready handle.

Oh man sorry to hear this. I had poison oak and the same thing happened. It spread to the face and seemed like it took forever to go away. The pumice soap helps and a oatmeal and corn starch bath gives temporary relief. Hope it clears up soon, I feel your pain.

Brush: Whipped Dog 30/45 Silvertip 2014
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue

Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm, Old Spice Lime original Shulton AS Frosted Glass 1960s

The TOBS whipped up nicely with the WD Silvertip. The Gillette Tech is a nice mild razor for me even with a Feather blade. Very nice shave with some touchup. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm and then some Old Spice Lime original Shulton AS From the 1960s. Nice shave! Y'all have a good one.

MDC may be the easiest lathering soap ever made. I am still amazed how how well it does both lathering and protection.

I used to love Proraso, and I guess I still do. But I never use it anymore. I have more exciting soaps and creams than Proraso and I guess that is the gist of it.

Proraso is good stuff, but is often overlooked. That had to change and change it did.

Since I have a lot of the old discontinued stuff from Proraso, I thought it prudent to use that for todays comeback. And to continue with discontinued products I used my grandfather's old razor, a Gillette Ball End Tech and the Iridium Super Blade.

The Proraso soap lathered up nicely and I started the shave. The first two strokes felt weird, but then I experienced a Wop bop a loo bop a lop bom bom moment and the razor created quite a party on my face. It was very mild, but very efficient on my first pass. I haven't shaved since monday and had a lot of stubble. But I had one of these rare moments where I hardly felt the blade, but where the beard was promptly removed.

The second and third pass was not so stellar. First I did not notice until halfway into the second pass that the famous Proraso chill was not present at all, second I found the razor to be too mild to do a proper clean up. Or so I was led to believe.

When feeling my face now, it is pretty evident that I have had the closest shave I've had in a long time. Furthermore I have to admit that this razor and blade combination managed to shave my neck in a way that I haven't experienced in a long way.

The Proraso aftershave has always been a favourite, both new and old versions. The Proraso balm on the other hand is not so great. It smells wonderful, I am glad I have a few bottles of the discontinued balm. But it does not work so well for me.

    Razor: Gillette Bell Tech
    Blade: Iridium Super
    Brush: Proraso Boar Brush
    Soap: Proraso Green
    Aftershave: Proraso Green
    Balm: Proraso

after yesterday's horrible shave, I thought I'd try pretty much the same elements. surprisingly with great results. the only thing I can say that was really different was the shave creme. the Gillette was like smearing flat canned foamy around. today was 2000 percent better.
hope y'all did as well, or better.

That's a nice country club combo Bob. I have the cahaba blues soap as well, does it remind you of his old bearded lady scent? That's what my nose picks up.

What do you think of the Gillette After Shave Gel I used some of it today, because of the Heat & Humidity here and it seemed to stink a little. Any problems with it? I don't get that stinging when I use the Razo Rock, or Nivea After Shave Balm. Any thoughts?
