Today I had an AMAZING head shave with the Atra handle and these blades! The seller claims they're made by Schick? Smooth as can be. I'm now onboard with using a cartridge for my head shaves.
Gillette Sensor cartridges normally sell for about $1 Do you mean you are NOW onboard? Gratz on the shave regardless!
Either Atra or Trac II type - it's a bit hard to tell from the picture without seeing the back of them. But definitely not Sensor type.
The picture I posted are for Atra, that's the handle I have. I don't know what the sensor reference is.
I know, but sometimes I see generic brand carts claim to fit both Atra and Trac II handles, so I was lumping them together. I don't either.
SOTD : Gillette Fusion Proglide w/ double pivoting (15/15 shaves) Brut Shaving foam Gillette proglide sensitive gel Omega syntex (as always) Axe AS lotion Curve Cologne I've decided to limit myself to 13-14 shaves per cart . I have got so many other razors and those won't come into rotation if one cartridge takes half a month to dull. Edit: Or maybe I should just use one cartridge per month. 15 for proglide and 15 for other razors.
SOTD : Schick Quattro Titanium (1st shave/ unknown) Gillette foamy barbershop clean Gillette proglide gel Omega syntex Axe AS lotion Lacoste original Perfume It has been almost 4 months since I shaved with Quattro. Today, unexpectedly, I bought quattro refills that weren't dull. My previous experience with Quattro refills was not good as those were dull and tore my face open. I have to say that it was a great shave. The precision trimmer seemed to perform much better than Gillette's. Half of my first pass and the whole second pass was done by using precision trimmer alone . The comfort coating felt nicer than Mach-III but not vs. Proglide. I will keep shaving with this cartridge for couple of days to figure out the exact mileage I can get with one quattro cartridge. Cheers!
I just got done shaving my head with my Atra handle and Schick blade. Why didn't I ever use this setup back in the day? Why? For my face. Something I'm doing after each head shave is I'm dipping the head into rubbing alcohol, I want to see if it helps the blade dry faster and stay sharper. Has anyone used one of these blade boots? The claim is it'll keep a blade sharp for 3 months. It's only $7 with free shipping so it's not a big loss if it doesn't work, trust me I have a box full of $7 things that don't work Thoughts? Thanks guys! Kerry
Was at Dollar Tree and couldn't pass up a three pack of Personna Triple Blade disposables. Haven't seen them before today. Says blades are U.S. made and the head pivots like an Atra. Will try one out before going back to work.
SOTD : Same as yesterday. Except the AS lotion was by Brut. I've to say, Quattro feels a lot like a four-bladed atra. Another great shave Edit: Regrown stubble feels a lot like as if it were cut by a DE razor.
Whether you use oil or alcohol, you can easily get a week worth of mileage on a single atra blade. I say, give that blade protector a try, who knows it might be a great thing to have.
SOTD : Schick quattro titanium (3rd shave on same cart) Gillette hydra foam Gillette hydra gel Old spice classique AS lotion Omega syntex Yardley Citrus and wood The cartridge still feels sharp as new, gives a very quick and close shave. Today I bought 16 more quattro cartridges for $20 from an outlet that specifically deals with energizer/edgewell products.

I want to join Dollar Shave Club after no shave November. I will join the every 2 month subscription. The plan is to use DSC one month and DE/Straight shave one month. Nice little balance.
