Razor A: Valet Auto Strop Model "C" Razor B: Scimitar Bluebeards Revenge Blade A: Valet New Process Blade B: Feather (3) Brush: Orange and Black Handle- Made in Switzerland- Boar (I think???) Bowl: Yokohama Studio Cream: The Real Shave Company A/S: Fine L'Orange Day 24 I found this brush in a second hand store today, and for $2.00 I couldn't pass it up. I think it is a Boar knot, however, when I used it tonight it seemed very soft to my face. Not like any other Boar brush I have, so school is out on that. Another excellent shave this evening. Perfect bowl for shave cream, deep with a wide mouth. Whipped up a good lather with this cream. Great way to start a Thursday night.
Goodness guys, I just got back from Kaiser had my X-ray done. The technician had me standing on my sore leg so he could take an X-ray of my leg in the standing position, did that a couple of times. Whew! I'm glad that's over. I'm getting ready for a nap. I go see my orthopedic surgeon on Monday..
7 hours later and I still get whiffs of the clubman. Smells different after this much time but still really good. The Shave was decent but I'm starting to shadow up by now. It's not visible stubble yet but I can feel it. My beard grows quick so I expected it. I only have a little while with the gem before I start focusing on my tech razors.
Are you sure playing football is a good idea with your bum knee? Hope you can enjoy some games and have a good weekend!
Hope it's nothing too serious. Don't you love it when the part that hurts is the one they make you use to try and fix it?
Day 24 - SEptember 2015 30 Days with a Schick G Day three of my soap trial, and this soap passes with flying colors. Slick, protective, and this scent is very nice. It will stay in my soap rotation. The blade is on day two and the automatic two pass smoothness was in effect. Alum was quiet, and finished with TSD ISZ AS and some Florida Water. Beautiful day for working outdoors on the prairie. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a fantastic Friday!
So I was sitting here trying to catch up on the thread, as well as a couple of others, and the sheer volume of this one really had me thinking. Seems like SEptember has been a very good month here. But, is it really that much busier or is it just all of the things going on with me that has kept me behind and feeling like it's busier? Numbers anyone? Here's what I discovered. So far this month we have 81 pages with 1617 posts as I type this. We, of course, have a week or so to go so we're not done yet. Our slowest month? February with 19 pages and 375 posts. Only 28 days in that month but wow, we weren't exactly driving the conversations were we. Second slowest month? March with 22 pages and 434 posts. Last month we actually hit 90 pages with 1794 posts, which is officially our biggest to date. We may pass that in the next week but things have definitely taken a huge uptick in the past two months. How huge you ask? Well let's just put the numbers up so we can see. Jan - 55/1091 Feb - 19/375 Mar - 22/434 Apr - 37/723 May - 37/739 Jun - 41/806 Jul - 46/904 Aug - 90/1794 Sep - 81/1616 (so far) Clearly something started clicking in July as we nearly doubled the numbers to August. Whatever the reason I will say that this is one of my top two threads on here. I love all of the camaraderie we have here, the sharing of all the great gear, the questions we share and, of course, the shenanigans that get shenanigated. I know, useless facts in the grander scheme of things but hey, we rock!
So sorry I missed that about your daughter. Good to hear she's on the mend. My prayers for her continued improvement.
