Thank you! She is definitely getting on the mend. I got the 14 year old eye roll and whines when told she needed to stop staring at the ipad mini the school provides for them. Yep, things heading back to normal.

    September 30 Day Focus--Blade Search

    Sept 24

    Razor -- Schick G Injector
    Blade -- Schick (China)
    Brush -- VDH Boar
    Soap -- Stirling Spice
Post -- Cold water splash, WH
    20150924_224720-picsay.jpg

Have not shaved the past couple days so had some pretty good growth. The Schick G did an excellent job. After first pass, WTG everywhere, it had done an excellent job removing my 2 day beard. Second pass XTG and definitely further reduction and so far very smooth! Third pass ATG and everything was how it should be. Really paid attention to keeping the angle and no pressure (angle seems easy but the no pressure requires constant reminder for some reason with this razor). Ended with a cold water rinse, a little M-Bombed WH, and then some checking. Nothing. It was super smooth! BBS with no irritation!

The down side to tonight's shave was my VDH bowl hit the corner of the counter and cracked. Sooooo I tried face lathering for the first time. Worked pretty well, but it will take some getting use to before I decide whether to get another bowl or go all face lathering. We shall see.

Have a Fantastic Friday tomorrow and Happy Shaving!

Now that idea did occur to me, but I didn't do the heavy data crunching to find that out. Seems like there may be a relationship there. I seem to remember you jumping on board with a few others who have also become very active so it's probably a cumulative effect, though I'm not taking the blame off of you just yet!

    I'll blame him.

I'll even suggest, as a punishment, that he take over thread synopsis duties. :)

    All in favor?

I think Adam's upset because his summaries take longer to put together now.
(Comrade Blade Czar, perhaps we should send him some Voskhods?)

I submit that after No Buy July lots of guys had new razors to focus on.

No doubt that's part of it if you look at the poll at the beginning of this month and see the experience level of the participants

My actual worry is that it took me about an hour on Monday, when I should have been working and I was taking notes on a thread on a shaving forum instead. I can't comit to doing that on a regular basis.

Unless Voskhod made a straight, no need to send anything. I ordered a three year supply of Russian DE blades right before I switched to straights. I've given away more than I have used.

I'm right there with you Adam, even success has its price - I find myself at work sneaking a peak at the thread a little too often these days. :innocent And that's just to keep up!

Oh well, I'm sure we'll all adjust to the "new normal," perhaps do like @cmorris357 and @Bama Samurai and just sleep less?!!

Voskhods are hard to keep in place on any of his straight razors. Although a true Russian would simply weld them in place. Yeah, that will work.
