Picked up a bottle of Pinauld's Clubman aftershave today. I figured I would give alcohol based aftershave a try again. It was a toss up between clubman and old spice original. I always have enjoyed the smell of clubman but I never felt grown enough to use it before. I always stuck with aqua velva or old spice fresh as a teen. Now that Im easing up to 30 I finally feel grown up enough to use clubman.
There are some Personna blue, polsilver iridium, Astra SP, wilkinson sword, Gillette nacet, gillette 7o clock, derby, supermax platinum, perma sharp, and one rapira One brush is Omega Mixed badger/badger and the other one is omega S-brush
Wow. That's a nice haul. Please let me know what you think of the omega S brush. Wish my Dad was as generous as yours.
Two packages came in today! From Italian Barber: 1x Krampert's Frostbite SS (smells awesome!) 1x Gillette Menthol SC (I love this stuff!) 1x Barrister & Mann Arctique AS (WOWWWWWWWWWWWW, I tried a bit on and it's COLDDDDDDDD!!!) From BullGoose Shaving Supplies: 1x Brutalt Bra SS 1x Palmolive Menthol (a top favourite of mine!)
Clubman was the first AS I got when I started wetshaving. I liked it then and I still like it. Nice classic barbershop scent. Good choice!
Great razor! Funny because I just bought one. I have used it a couple of times with the twin blade and it does a good job. Not sure if the twin blade is better than a single. I'll have to try that when this blade goes.
Have you tried this? Supposed to be the coldest thing on the market. http://www.chiseledface.com/product/aftershave-splash-cryogen/
Yes indeed and I am still trying to come to terms with it. The most menthol I think is possible to have in one place. I have hard time using it because I can't concentrate on the shave with tears in my eyes a my nose running. The best result I've had is mixing a little with some TOBS grapefruit. It is cold though.
Stirling Bay Rum and a Burma Shave mug that I'll be using for The Vintage Williams Project The Burma Shave mug is in homage of our own @GDCarrington aka Burma Shave.
Hit a few antique stores on the way home today and found: Late 50's Old Spice mug (now I have a collection of two) Seaforth Heather Talc jug (full) Shulton Tankard decanter Avon Coleman lantern decanter Vintage Simms shaving brush
Hahaha =) the brush is definitely soft to the tips, it actually surprised me. And it has backbone. So I get why they say it's a "boar" simulation. It has some nice backbone, not as much as a boar, but definitely more than the Plisson =D it's a really awesome brush. Love it already
Gillette Menthol SC was the closest I felt to doing the Ice-Bucket challenge. (If I said that before, it "polar" bears repeating) (OH THAT WAS BAAD)
