    Super Speed/Personna day 6
    Brutalt Bra SS
    Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Booster Iced Lime AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:

This will be my first use of the highly-touted Brutalt Bra soap from Norway. So far I like the scent of it which to my nose anyway, appears to be a very mild lavender/soapy mix. That combination is perfectly ok with me because it reminds me of an old-school barbershop I went to when I was a kid living in Israel. The Booster Iced Lime is a true Canadian classic which has been around since 1920. My Super Speed/Personna duo is still giving me awesome shaves every day! ;) :D

Man, I always look forward to shaving with Tabac. It has never disappointed. The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #1 Silver Tip brush. Two passes with my Schick M2 Adjustable Injector razor and a Personna SS Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Florida Water as an after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hey, I see that Clubman back there! Great stuff for the hair, but a little does go a long way(as I'm sure you know).

Recommended by barbers since 1920, eh? Works for me, Jeff :) That is, I don't have it personally, but..well, you saw earlier what I said....COLD AND OLD.

That's what I do sometimes...purchase stuff from my barbarettes. (Ladies whose clients are men only; guess they think we're good-looking or something).

    Razor - Schick M2 Injector
    Blade - [IMG]Brush - Vie Long 12601 The Pony
    Soap - Tabac
Post - Cold Water, Alum, Nivea

Day three of the M2 and it's wide open for effect. Let's see what this adjustable can do at its most vicious setting, shall we? Got the pony and Tabac to get a great slick lather so I'm not scared. WTG on the first pass and I can definitely tell a difference from the past two days, especially when compared to the first day at its most mild. This feels like a real razor now. Not so aggressive that it's uncomfortable but you can feel it working now. Much better feedback. Second pass XTG and the first ouch occurred. Minor nick on the neck but nothing serious. The face is done but the neck needed an additional XTG with some sliding action to finish BBS. Yep, it got the baby.

Overall a nice shave again and this is a nice razor. It still didn't win me over to keep it in any kind of rotation but neither injector impressed me that much this month. I still think the Gem 1912 is the superior SE razor of the month and that one will get used again. Nothing wrong with the injector shaves, just not my thing. Though it is hard to argue with Cary Grant.

Another weekend off and I'm not sure what to do with myself. Oh, I know....catch up on here! And SLEEP! Have a great weekend everyone.

    Today's shave.

Prep: hot shower, Nivea Face Wash.
    Brush: Turkish #6 brush.
    Razor: Gillette 40's Rocket.
    Blade: Personna Med Prep.
    Cream: Palmolive Classic.
Post: cold water rinse, Barbon AS, Myrsol Emulsion.

I'm growing my beard back out. Since I only shaved my neck, the whole set up seems like a huge waste of time and effort. If I was going to be clean shaved over my whole face, I'd go with the whole brush/cream/soap set up. I'll go back to shaving my neck with shaving oil by itself and a DE.

I used Musco Real Oak Moss Shave cream lathered up with my semogue boar. It lathered up amazingly but I'm not sure about the smell. I didn't hate it but I'm not sure if I like it either. I'll use it later on a few more times to be sure. After the amazing lather was whipped up I picked out a gen bullet tip and loaded a carbon steel gem blade in it for its 3rd and final Shave. After 2 passes I wasn't happy with the Shave so I grabbed my G type Schick and after loading a blade in it I did 2 more passes with touch up. I chased the baby some but ended up giving up. After I rinsed off and checked my face I found that I had nearly got it. Some slight rough spots the the corners of my jaw but everywhere else is BBS. Clubman to finish and despite the 5+ passes I made hardly a burn at all.

    September 25 (Birthday Shave)

    Mongoose with Dr. Bomber handle
    Feather Super Professional blade (4)
    Shavemac two-band silvertip brush
Trumper's Coconut shave cream and glycerin
    Two passes plus touch-ups
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper's Coral Skin Food

I finished up my SEptember focus with this shave using the Mongoose, and I plan to begin OCtober tomorrow (a few days early) with my New LC.

I had fun using the Mongoose this month with both the Feather Pro and Super Pro blades. The 'Goose provides great control and yields fantastic shaves even with a very aggressive blade. I get a slightly closer shave with the Super Pro blade, at the risk of getting a nick or weeper if my mind wanders. Using something I learned last month, I now shave with the water turned off. Listening to my shave allows me to maintain the correct razor angle, and this helped me get near-BBS shaves with the Mongoose in two passes. My face will only tolerate daily two-passes shaves, so I continue to work on refining my technique.

I also learned to check my razor head and blade for proper alignment. It is possible to load the blade, misalign the top and bottom plates on the head, and get a very aggressive shave. I also learned that I won't stop shaving, even when the shave's gone wild. But danger is my middle name! This was also my first month using the TSD soap, and it has become a mainstay in my rotation.

    Have a great weekend!
