I used Musco Real Oak Moss Shave cream lathered up with my semogue boar. It lathered up amazingly but I'm not sure about the smell. I didn't hate it but I'm not sure if I like it either. I'll use it later on a few more times to be sure. After the amazing lather was whipped up I picked out a gen bullet tip and loaded a carbon steel gem blade in it for its 3rd and final Shave. After 2 passes I wasn't happy with the Shave so I grabbed my G type Schick and after loading a blade in it I did 2 more passes with touch up. I chased the baby some but ended up giving up. After I rinsed off and checked my face I found that I had nearly got it. Some slight rough spots the the corners of my jaw but everywhere else is BBS. Clubman to finish and despite the 5+ passes I made hardly a burn at all.

Hello everyone. I'm catching up on the thread this evening. I'm sending prayers for healing for Kerry, Chris' aunt, William's daughter, Mark's back, and Clint's back.

Just caught my typo of Musgo. I'm coming off a hard few days and I'm about to fall asleep. As soon as supper is fixed I'm going back to bed since I have the day off.

    September 25 (Birthday Shave)

    Mongoose with Dr. Bomber handle
    Feather Super Professional blade (4)
    Shavemac two-band silvertip brush
Trumper's Coconut shave cream and glycerin
    Two passes plus touch-ups
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper's Coral Skin Food

I finished up my SEptember focus with this shave using the Mongoose, and I plan to begin OCtober tomorrow (a few days early) with my New LC.

I had fun using the Mongoose this month with both the Feather Pro and Super Pro blades. The 'Goose provides great control and yields fantastic shaves even with a very aggressive blade. I get a slightly closer shave with the Super Pro blade, at the risk of getting a nick or weeper if my mind wanders. Using something I learned last month, I now shave with the water turned off. Listening to my shave allows me to maintain the correct razor angle, and this helped me get near-BBS shaves with the Mongoose in two passes. My face will only tolerate daily two-passes shaves, so I continue to work on refining my technique.

I also learned to check my razor head and blade for proper alignment. It is possible to load the blade, misalign the top and bottom plates on the head, and get a very aggressive shave. I also learned that I won't stop shaving, even when the shave's gone wild. But danger is my middle name! This was also my first month using the TSD soap, and it has become a mainstay in my rotation.

I enjoy following the progress and learning from my brothers on the thread. Participation, learning, sharing, friendships, and shenanigans - it's all here! I continue to learn and be encouraged by you all. A big thanks to Chris for pulling this all together for us. He's a true servant leader!

    Have a great weekend!

I think it does. It likely attracts curiousity clicks because it's at the top of the page.

Thanks Charlie! The surgeons repaired her femur, said it should heal ok, 8-10 weeks. I think she's out of the woods.

I am just cruising on this kit now. Back to La Toja, always enjoy using shave sticks. The two pass automatic smoothness was in full effect. Very comfy shave today with no feedback from the Alum, no irritation whatsoever. It's finally starting to look and feel like fall on the prairie a bit. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a super Saturday!

B-3 Mongoose with Triad Ti Helix Hex
    Feather Pro #3
Wolf Whiskers Red & Black TGN High Mountain White
    Dusy Kabinett
Alum, Dickinson’s ++Menthol, Cucumber Melon Whipped Shea Butter
    Fine – Platinum
    Penhaligon’s Blenheim Bouquet EDT

A wonderful Saturday morning shave of two passes was the closest DFS I’ve had in a long time. The awesome Rose scent of the Dusy Kabinett was matched by its stellar performance. Thanks to the generosity of @michaelAD and the scuttlebutt on TSD for leading me to Dusy. :happy088::happy088:
The High Mountain White is fast becoming my favorite TGN knot. Scanctuary's cucumber-Melon Whipped Shea Butter is a super moisturizer that leaves my face feeling cool and smooth. :happy088: Finished off this one a generous spritz of Fine Platinum, to be followed by the Blenheim Bouquet EDT. Hope your shave is good and your Weekend too!

Isn't the "slide" move kinda hard to master?...I have never tried it it just looks like it would rather easy to draw blood.

Did a late night shave since tomorrow is the son's bowling day again. After the rough shave with the Micromatic the other day it was almost a relief to get back to the L1 with the Schick Twin blade (2) lathered up some Soap Commander Courage and did 3 passes and some touch-up. BBS. I have to say this months focus really paid off as I feel like I could get an almost perfect shave whenever I need one. I am looking forward to trying out some other stuff. After all variety is the spice of life, but it's nice to know if I had to have a perfect shave I could knock one out pretty easily. Happy Weekend y'all.
