She's a shaver Jamie. I'm no photographer, but in person it appears much cleaner. No hone wear, and not so much as the tiniest scratch in the Bakelite. Original wrapper/slip cover with instructions.

Agile for as huge as it is, I think this has to do with the flexibility of the edge. Very thin grind at the hollow. Silky smooth edge that didn't bat an eyelash at three days growth of my thick, nasty beard.

I'm excited to get it on the hones and see how it acts, but the edge is so nice now, I don't feel it necessary to run it just yet.

After five consecutive days of full-hollow razors, it was time for a near-wedge experience…:happy088:

It's awfully tough to beat those old 14's for a wonderful shave. Once I saw yours, I knew I was going to have to add an OLD Spanish 14. I had a Sub Cero of probably early to mid '60's vintage which was lovely, but just needed something older to scratch that 14 itch. The fellow I picked this one up from is an Englishman living in Spain and is keeping his eye open for a "particular" 14 for me. Now that I've gotten down to fourteen straights, if he finds a good one, with my "One in, one out" philosophy it'll be tough to decide what will go...

And I would add, that's a mighty fine looking triple 7!

    What??? :shocked003:
Mike, are you insinuating that we may be indulging—nay, enabling—each other's desire to acquire more and more straight razors through the postings of over 200 pages of SR eye-candy?!!

    I'm speechless…….

Lovely razor, by the way, Robert.
    :D

No Kevin, not insinuating. Flat out accusing, with 200 pages of empirical evidence :D.

An activity which I do not indulge in and can not condone or endorse...

If my wife is reading this, I'll take out the garbage in a second, and the shaving thing it's all their fault.

My long awaited custom SR and brush set should be getting ready for delivery.

When I talked to gssixgun the other day, he was getting ready to put the pair in the vacuum. My Wade and Butcher Barber's notch wedge with custom birdseye maple scales and matching birdseye maple brush with 24mm silvertip knot was just about done. I've been patiently waiting since late June. I can't believe they're almost here
