    Back to the Futur
A good friend loaned me his Futur so I can see if I really want to buy one, and so I can compare it to the Fatboy.
The Futur sang across my face set at 2.5 for the first pass, then 3 for the rest. It cut smoothly through my two days growth, leaving no irritation and nearly BBS. I will use it on higher settings tomorrow to see how it does - I prefer the Fatboy on 9, and I'm curious how to match that with the Futur.
I love the design - it reminds me of Gort from *The Day The Earth Stood Still. *
CRSW provided excellent lather as usual, and I wrapped this shave up with the marching balm. Now I'm ready for church.

    Brush: HIS

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Jumping Juniper shampoo cake from Lush
Soap/cream- Barrister and Mann Adagio shaving soap
    Brush- Proraso Omega boar
Razor- WEBER polished head stainless steel
    Blade- Gillette Silver Blue(2)
Post- Cold water rinse, Humphreys witch hazel, Proraso eucalyptus and menthol lotion and Vitru Age Combat aftershave balm

I was gonna use my MMOC today. But when I was picking my gear for the day I felt like going through with testing the GSB blade from Kerry.

I got a really nice shave. I could get a close shave because I felt like I had the lather for it and it went well =)

The proraso brush…. wow! if it was my only brush I would be happy! I do love my other brushes, but this one DAMN!

BM is a nice soap and Adagio is a nice scent. I have samples, and I would definitely feel confident enough to buy a whole tub one day.

Proraso for a nice cooling finish and Vitru is a nice addition to my den, its a "small" 30 ml sample but the full size is 50ml and cost 350kr which is just under 40$ hahaha! I will be using it up, but I’m not sure I will but it. It feels really nice but its a bit pricey for me.

Maggard Limes & Bergamot today. 20 seconds to load the ER Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette 7 O’Clock Green SS still in the Fat Boy. Great smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Southern Oud.

I absolutely love this Gingers Garden soap! Love! The scent is about a 3 out of 10, but the soap is fantastic! I'm hooked on the aristocrat, perfect balance, perfect shave, if you're looking for a solid razor this would be a great option.

    Day 27
Good morning shave today for a change. TSD soap whipped up into a great lather with a fresh smell of Irish Spring. Accompanied by the TSD Iced Irish Spring A/S was an excellent finish. The Ever-Ready SE is make a fair bit of noise when it cuts the through the facial hair, however, I'm kind of liking it now. :)
Grateful to have restored my Grandfather's brush and that it is still getting used after all these years. Couldn't have restored this brush without the help of members of TSD and Larry at Whipped Dog. :thanks:

    Gillette New LC
    Feather blade (3)
    Kent BK4 silvertip brush
Trumper's Coconut shave cream and glycerin
    Two passes
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper's Coral Skin Food

I have completed three shaves so far using my New LC loaded with a Feather blade for the OCtober focus. I used my Arko stick yesterday and Trumper's cream this morning. Both products yield loads of great lather, and the razor consistently delivers an easy near-BBS shave. I'm using my Kent brush for the first time in awhile, and it is floppy compared to my Shavemac two-band and my E.J. synthetic brushes. It's a great brush, but I miss the backbone of the other brushes.

    Enjoy your day!

Mastro Livi Grifetto 60: Italian Shave!

Mastro Livi razor, brush and strop: what an Italian Shave! This has been the first time I shaved with this new Grifetto 60 razor - of course, not the first time I shave with a Mastro Livi Grifetto straight razor - and I must admit the beautiful scales for this celebrative razor make even more special using such a great razor. Mastro Livi Grifetto 60 has been recently released by Mastro Livi to celebrate his sixty years of experience and career in straight razor making, honing and restoration, sixty years fully committed to the art of straight razor. It is an unlimited edition - celebrating one of the greatest straight razor maker in the world - therefore it is a special Grifetto everyone can have. I also used my newest Mastro Livi Medium Loom Strop "Coramella Italiana" (Italian strop) being the second element of my Mastro Livi shaving set. So far, I have the brush and loom strop only, but I am planning to have a matching razor as soon as I can.

I tried a brush today that I've never used before. A Made Rite 7659. Not positive but pretty sure it's a synthetic. I didn't have high hopes for it and I'm glad I didn't. It made a decent lather at first but gave it all up on the second application. Didn't have any left for the touch up pass and I'm paying for that now since I tried to do it with the residual slickness of the Speick and water. This brush will be getting a re-knot!

The Gillette Cool Wave does indeed look different than mine. It appears they decided to make it a REALLY cool wave, eh?
