Thanks everyone, for the prayers. Here's a little update on the actual nephew: He got an appointment with an orthopedic, and they determined that he does in fact have a fractured femur. There's too much swelling to put him in a cast yet, so they've got him in a soft brace for the time being. He also has a torn ACL and will need surgery. They gave him a wheelchair to make getting around easier. The other kid: still don't know anything, really. His doctor heard back from a radiologist and wanted to speak to his mom and him, but their appointment isn't until sometime this afternoon. We're all a little worried and stressed about it. To make matters worse, (single) mom (with 3 at home) just lost her job because the owner of the building she was working in went bankrupt and couldn't come to an agreement with Subway.
I just found out about Iridium Flares! There are 2 tonight where the centees is about a 15 min drive away! I am pretty excited bout this! (here's hoping it stays clear for tonight...) Aside from that i am waiting on a Kiron 28-210mm Superzoom. This is the company that made the Vivitar Series 1 lenses (from what I read those are awesome?) I got it for $30 and can't wait for it to arrive!
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: You know, I'm a rather brilliant surgeon. Perhaps I can help you with that hump.
Some surgeon.. can't even keep track what side the "what hump?" is on.. Real brilliant. Ranks right up there with Abby.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: [chuckles, then] Are you saying that I put an abnormal brain into a seven and a half foot long, fifty-four inch wide GORILLA? [grabs Igor and starts throttling him]
Finishing a long day with dinner in the 95th floor of the John Hancock building in Chicago. Great way to end a day. The view from my table.
