Razor A: Ever-Ready SE 1914 Razor B: Gillette SS 1947 Birth Razor Blade A: GEM (7) Blade B: Personna Blue (2) Brush: Fendrihen Silver Tip Black Faux Ebony Handle Mug Old Spice Cobalt Blue 1985 Soap: TSD Iced Old Spice type A/S: Old Spice Day 30 Last shave in this 30 focus on SE razors. The Auto Strop Metal Case 1928-1935 is a pretty good razor, however, it was difficult to load the blade correctly. This would make it number 3 out of my 3 my SE razors. The Auto Strop Model "C" 1935-1940 was a better razor and took to the strop sharpened up enough to provide a close shave #2. I had a Ever-Ready 1914 that had a blade holding clips that where broken so loading a blade was almost impossible (failed). I ordered another making sure the blade holding features where functional. This turned out the be #1 SE razor for me. TSD Iced Old Spice type provided an outstanding lather followed by Old Spice A/S. Excellent focus this month. Learned much about SE razors. Thank to all who participated for your informative posts.
You can't catch flies looking like that. I thought about something like this: By the way, that giant sucking sound you are hearing is the Atlanta Braves finishing up their dismal season.
Cool, I need a batch of these to send to a friend of mine. She is completely freaked out by the weeping Angels.
I was referring to a lady shaving me with a straight. No matter how good looking she may be. Okay I'll buy a Kent brush, but I'll tell my wife you made me do it...
I keep hearing "At that speed, will we be able to pull out in time ?" Insert your own 'that's what she said'
The shenanigans have been so hot and heavy today I hate to break into the fun with a shave summary. Wow! 5 pages since midnight and 86 posts since I got up this morning.
30 Days hath SEptember! The Wrap Today will be my last in a series of thirty days spent exclusively with a Schick G. I did switch to a focus mid-month to test soaps, but the goal of mastering the G in a month was achieved. The focus on skin stretching and angle paid off, albeit after a rough first week, and this razor has moved up the list and will be staying in my collection permanently. La Toja has earned a permanent spot with the TSD ISZ. The G itself is all about the angles. I feel like we had our best month ever, many people found solutions to their shave issues, and the participation level was awesome! Kudos to @TheSoapExchange on a great performing and very pleasantly scented Barber Shoppe shave soap, thanks for supporting our forum! I really enjoyed testing the new soaps. As always it was a blast! See you all for another month of focused fun and learning in October. I love autumn and sense the change in the air. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado! Have a wonderful Wednesday night!
