Schick A Type Repeater.. Another shot... Another... Next to my B Type... My Schick A Type Repeater arrived in the post today from France...You never know what you are getting until it ends up in the hand so to speak...Well...What a lovely surprize as its fair to say that this thing is in Pristine Condition....The photos don't do this razor any justice...The A Type is a an early Alloy Metal Industrial piece of Art from the 1920s...There was nothing like this coming out of Britain at this time...I have got to laugh when folks knock Schick's as some sort of Non traditional SE...Well you don't get anymore Traditional than these American Wonders of Engineering Folks... Billy...
Thank you Kindly Folks....The box had the original sellers address on the bottom...It was sold from an Opticians shop in Old Bond Street in London...Very Posh Bond street in them days you know... Not for the Ruffian's & Vagabonds like me... Billy...
I just added my '23rd' razor to my GRRRowing-Collection! A nice 1954 Z2 Gillette Flair-Tip..., I would like to have all 4 'Flair-Tips..., 3 more, to go! (Actually there are 5, or MORE?) It just keeps getting better...
Cost: $1 including shipping. Includes: - razor, - 10 Treet blades, - wooden box. "Value": Questionable at this point...we'll see...
I'm thinking....I'm happy you have it & I hope you'll enjoy it! I would have to "GIVE-IT-A-Go" on my whiskers...., but; I'm 72 years old & want to have the 'EXPERIENCE!' Perhaps a WISER man than I would just settle with the 'Having-Of-It' in his/her COLLECTION! Either Way; "ENJOY THE TREASURE!"
got in my Schick injector blades and a rolls razor in what looks like great shape. Doesn't even look like it needs cleaned. Pictures to come. I just opened the box 5 min ago.
Well...Sir...I guess I isn't that wise cause I bought this to have at a go at my whiskers...I am not a collector...I adore shaving with these old razors and I will indeed cherish every moment of utilizing this beauty the way that it was indented...HOW FOTRUNATE I AM..... Billy...
In my opinion it's the best of the lot. Although the samples I received didn't include the plastic shave, so I can't comment on that one.
Please post a review when it arrives? All I ever smelled of it was about two drops left in a nearly dry bottle but it wasn't enough to make out what it was supposed to smell like.
U.S. issues...Blue, Silver, Red, '58 TV Special and...um...am I missing one? The '60s version is about the same as the Silver, only with slightly different knurling, I think.
Somehow I missed it during my mass order earlier this year and now have been waiting until I have used something up to make the order worth while.
Well; I'm only going with what I've seen On-Line? There's an all 'silvery-type' Flair Tip; a Black Shanked one with a 'silvery-tip; a 'Silvery-One with a 'black-tip;' The 'Red-Tipped,' & The 'Blue-Tipped' models...which are the ONLY 5 Models/Types I know of?
