That looks like a super heavy razor :o . How do you lift it with couple of fingers for whole 10-15 minutes? Nice Photo.

Haha yes it's a heavy handle. Actually I much prefer a heavy handle. I tried titanium and ended up selling all due to the lack of heft. This one is 16/90 and pretty solid. U get used to them .

I have pearl razor with quite a heavy handle. Maaannn, after the shave, my fingers start twitching like crazy for doing so much work. :p

Man that must b a heavy one! I do shave relatively quickly spread maybe that helps me in the fatigue department.

Thank you for your kind words. Actually, it wasn't very difficult as I have been taking outdoor photos of my brushes for a few years now and I 'usually' know what I am doing. The hardest part is catching them when they fall of the trees. :D

image.jpeg Razor: Gillette Slim (k3) 1965 (5) (3) (original case and blade pack with instructions)
Brush: intage Ever-Ready 300L with TGN Silvertip 18/51
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: TOBS Grapefruit
    Blade: Feather (2)
Pre shave: Tree Hut Shea body wash Mango
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera, Jack Black balm, Florida Water cologne
Whipped up the TOB Grapefruit in a minute with the Silvertip. Nice slick cushion and I really like the scent. I really like the slim and next to my FB it is my go to razor. The heavy handle and head gave me a nice smooth shave with no pressure with a Feather blade set on 5. The Shea Mango for the pre-shave helped give me a nice no burn shave. My technique is getting better on my neck, especially with a slick lather and sharp blade on (3), so I can buff the area on the right side of my neck. The Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera felt good on my face and that natural scent was nice and fresh. After cleaning my razor and a little spray of isopropyl alcohol to help dry the innards, I smoothed on some Jack Black, and then some Florida Water cologne. Y'all have a good one!

Due to seeing photos of others using their Red Tip, I decided I had to use mine also. I was expecting a somewhat aggressive shave but turned out mild and smooth. Loving my new brush also. So much lather, I didn't want to stop. I finished up with some Tabac Vanille AS from Lebelle Soaps. Another DFS today.

I think my FB shaves smoother than my Slim, with everything else being equal. I think it's because it is heavier. I use both on 5 for WTG XTG and then on 3 for ATG.

Same here.. I get better results with the FB over the Slim. Feels smoother/less aggressive to me.

PREP: SHOWER WITH CLEARASIL FOAMING FACH WASH/ SOAP COMMANDER COURAGE SOAP
    RAZOR: 1953GILLETTE TECH
    BLADE: BIG BEN
    BRUSH: EVERREADY BADGER-LON
    SOAP: B&M LEVIATHAN
    POST: MYRSOL AGUA BALSAMICA

Did a 3 pass shave today. The scent of the Leviathan is not bad, but not my favorite B&M scent either. Not a strong coffee, but it does have a light coffee-mocha scent. It made a slick lather as expected from a B&M soap. The problem was the blade had a few shaves on it, and was tugging a little bit. Despite this problem, the Myrsol did not burn one bit and soothed the skin very well. The herbal scent is unique and combined with the feel, makes this a great A/S. Hope everyone has a great day and a great shave!

Dove Beauty Cream bar face wash
    Star DE razor
Rapira Swedish Super Steel (3) blade
    Bestshave #6 brush
    RazoRock Classic shave soap
    3 passes WTG/XTG/ATG + touch-up.
    Nivea Men Sensitive aftershave balm

I had to forgo the Slim, it just didn't work for me and I didn't feel like giving it time to warm up to me.
It has been over a year since I last used the Star DE, but it just felt great from the first stroke.
I really like that little 3-piece razor. With the Turkish brush and RazoRock Classic I had a great shave tonight.
