Took 7 hours to print. I like how it turned out. Let me know what you guys think. uploadfromtaptalk1443716499839.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1443716507285.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1443716513519.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1443716517658.jpg

Very cool you can do that! :signs107:

As I am ignorant about such things, what does the final cost work out to by "printing" one of those?

Because it is possible to do something doesn't mean it is expedient. Sometimes it is just fun to do. Then again, sometimes it should be avoided.

Two bucks for a custom made piece. Not bad at all!

Definitely. I can just set it to print overnight and wake up and I have a 2 dollar blade bank that will last me a few months I suspect.

Can that be sanded and painted?

It can be sanded to smooth out some corners but the plastic is melted and added layer by layer so sanding would only sand a layer and lead into the next layer. So that can be done to an extent. But painting can be done for sure. I have some white filament and I'm going to make some things with it and paint it.

If you dip it into acetone, you get it more smooth and shiny. That I did with my 3D-printed razor head. It will not become completely smooth, but definitely better than what a raw printed one is.

I have 3 in there right now and the first on fell in flat. The other 2 didn't but if I give it a little shake they will.
