Thank you for the kind words! Jay @Delta Echo Razors recoated it in Bronze. It appears darker in the photo than it really is. It may be my favorite DE razor. The coating is tough as nails, and it cleans up easily. Thanks again!
Frey's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm Brush: Simpsons 56 Best Badger Lather: RazoRock One-X croap Razor: RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE OC Blade: Bolzano Superinox (1) Passes: WTG, XTG (1, 2) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's witch hazel, RazoRock One-X AS splash Cologne: Le 3e Homme de Caron by Caron Switched to the RazoRock Bamboozled RAKE, which handles the Bolzano a mite better for me, along with a fresh blade. Fewer instances of tugging and irritation, though the blade needed today to break in. Only two passes, with a little irritation under my chin for otherwise DFS results.
The last of my I Coloniali soap. Today's shave was a uber lather. I took the remaining tiny slivers of my favourite shave soap and mixed it with some shave cream it worked very well. Don't we have a product R.I.P thread cos I can't find it. Don't feel alone, just yesterday I picked-up 3 weepers in one ATG stroke of my left upper lip ;where a moustache would be if I had one; area....}:^/ Same reason, just not paying attention, while experimenting with a new very aggressive razor...Not a good recipe...ha,ha...But it sure is nice to have some menthol to freeze the area after an incident like that occurs, isn't it..?..ha,ha...Today I plan to be more careful myself aswell !
Bronze?! Ha! I had thought it was all-black! Regardless, it still looks great and Jay is doing some fine work!
Second shave with the Float-O-Flex. Same good, close shave. It's aggressive but I still don't feel that the flexing head really makes any difference - good or bad Gear Float-O-Flex Rapira 75 year Anniversary Vie-Long synthetic Vintage Colgate Anherb ASB
Razor: Gillette Old Type Open Comb Ball End NDC 1920s (from "The Weekender" by Metalfield kit) Brush: Rubberset 400 #3 WD 24/50 Silvertip (Jedi Lightsaber) Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root cream Blade: Feather (2) Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1956 glass AS Stopper #3 The Meca Root whipped up nicely with the Silvertip. The Gillette Old OC is a nice razor, but it is rather aggressive with my blade of choice, the Feather. I just have to be careful with this light razor, and use no pressure. Very nice two pass shave with some touchup. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm. Finished with some Old Spice original Shulton from 1956. The Spice rules! Y'all have a good one!
You finally did it, used up a whole soap! Here is the RIP thread, we have a couple but I have been trying to make this one the main one =P
Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower, Jumping Juniper shampoo cake from Lush Soap/cream- ????? Brush- Proraso Omega boar Razor- WEBER polished head stainless steel Blade- Personna Lab Blue Post- Cold water rinse, Humphreys witch hazel, Lucky Tiger Bay Rum aftershave lotion and Vitru Age Combat aftershave balm I pressed this mystery sample into my new Old spice mug =D I have no idea what kind of soap this is, I only know that its good. It was a long time ago I used a Lab blue, mainly because I didn’t have any hehe. After using this blade after using gillette silver blue blades I think this Personna is the winner and will PROBABLY be my next 100 pack! the proraso brush is awesome, aftershave is awesome. I got a close shave. Im REALLY happy with this shave.
SHAVE OF THE DAY PREP: OCCAMS CRUSHED LIME PRE SHAVE SOAP RAZOR: 1953 GILLETTE TECH BLADE: BIG BEN BRUSH: OMEGA S SYNTHETIC SOAP: STIRLING GLASTONBURY POST: OSAGE RUB/ CHISELED FACE GHOST TOWN BARBER A/S Did a quick 3 pass shave today. I didn't care for the scent of the Glastonbury right from the puck, but once it was lathered, the scent morphed into something awesome. It does have notes of patchouli but there is something else that makes it unique. The lather is what is normally expected from Stirling so no problems there. Finished off with the rub and Ghost Town Barber which has a nice sweetness to it. Hope everyone had a great shave and a great day!
The most simple, down and dirty, quick SOTD today....only used 2 things... Gillette Fusion Proglide Flexball Edge Ultra Sensitive Shave Gel w/ Oatmeal Compared to yesterday's shave, this one was very much better. No problems at all, with this shave gel. See, goes to show you have to give something another swing if you don't like it the first time. 3 passes with the Proglide, 5th use of the blade. Still going pretty strong, actually. No signs of irritation. Cold water rinse, no after care at all...didn't feel like I needed it.
All I can say is Thanks Paul (@Tdmsu ). Great shave to start the weekend. I hope you gents have a great one as well.

OCtober - Trick or TREET October 2 Razor - Gillette 1918 Old Style Blade - (2) Brush - Vie Long 12601 (The Pony) Soap - Tabac Post - Cold Water, Alum, Aqua Velva Ice Blue Reporting live from Pakistan (well ok so not so much) on day two of the Treet focus. Same setup as yesterday except for the brush and soap. Used the Pony today along with Tabac. SWMBO loves Tabac and I had no idea how much until last night when I was setting things up and had it open on my desk across from hers. She instantly named it and came over to my side and sniffed it. I have warmed her up to the idea that there are other Tabac products too so when I order those she won't have any argument about that purchase. The Vie-Long is such a great brush to use. Different from the boars in its feel and how I use it. I paint more with it than swirl on my face once it's loaded and love the scritch and scrub. Really gets the lather up good and leaves me feeling great. Day two on the King was as smooth and awesome as day one and I'm happy the shaving gods decreed this setup to start the month. Seems to be perfectly matched with the 1918 and I didn't even mess up on my chin this morning. Finished near BBS and feeling good. Irritation was a bit high on the neck from the G-slides but other than that no problem. Hit the Ice Blue for the retro finish and off to my next to last day of training. Sick of staring at a webinar. I know the real world is out there somewhere!
