So now that you guys got me hooked , I was searching etsy for cool looking pipes and realized that most seem to be made in Urkraine. Does anyone have any experience with these?
I found a couple gorgeous examples:

I'm sorry, I do not have any experience with ornate carvings on wood pipes. Not sure about on etsy, or with designs such as that pictured, but I think you will find the most prolific and well known pipe makers are Italian, Danish, French, with some in England and Ireland. There are others, of course, some in U.S.A., Japan, Germany and others.

I tend to buy pipes of French, Italian and Danish manufacture. Glad you're having a good time!

Lot of red there, Chris! ;)

And what's that I see in the lower right corner...looks like Germain's Brown Flake!

It surely is, it has been jarred and is cellared in Denver. My reaction to the first bowl was like yours, I need to try a couple of different pipes. Tonight's pipe will be on a shallow water boat in the Pacific, watching the sun drop into the ocean. uploadfromtaptalk1443919191567.jpg

Mrs Samurai and I are finally on our honeymoon. I will be a little scarce for a week, I am limiting TSD to a couple short sessions daily. Hope everyone has a great week!

Pipe of the morning, Lane BS-005 in a Neerup bent. BS- 005 is a fairly stout full bodied English, with a good dose of latakia. Good even burn, just a hint of sweetness. There's just something about latakia and fall mornings. Or evenings. Lit the bacccy with matches this morning, going old style.

Edit: I tend to like coffee with latakia blends in the morning. A good cup of Community coffee with a good dose of milk, almost a cafe au lait.

They don't have much pipe tobacco on auction at any one time. Just type in "pipe" on the search bar and it will show all the pipes and tobacco currently on auction.

    upload_2015-10-4_9-15-0.png

Right now they've got more pipes than tobacco, only 16 items total.

They have a lot of cigars though. The site is operated by the same company that operates Cigars International and Pipes&Cigars in Bethlehem, PA.

How are their shipping rates? Are they reasonable, or do they recover costs through shipping and handling?
