Tune in for the next episode of Sara-s's Songs Of The Bow, vol. 1 A Tune A Day Keeps The Doctor Away Tunes that hit the mark
I shoot 3-5 days a week. I was there last night, sighting in the new bow. (That is a work in progress.) It's getting interesting, as we will probably need a new location in the near future. The owners of the building where ou club meets, are selling, We are not optimistic about being able to buy.
same thing is happening with a local Dixieland Jazz band we love-their current "digs" got sold and the new owners decided they didn't like jazz.
Aw, that bites. I hope they get a nice new venue. Meanwhile, today it's my turn to teach the classes. We have a dozen or so certified instructors who take turns. Anyone can take lessons at our club, for a fairly modest fee ($20 for an hour lesson, including equipment use.) That is part of the way we meet club expenses.
"Knock 'em dead" is probably not the best way to put it , but I'm sure you'll do great. Maybe "shoot for the stars"???
I tried archery when I was about 8, 9. As I recall, I wasn't good. Wonder what it would be like to try it again after 5 decades.
as you might imagine, they play at places where you can buy light dinners, etc.and sit back and relax and eat as they play. There are a couple places like that near me and my Mom(and her signif other). I hope they end up at one of those. Yes there is indeed. Perhaps I'll get up the energy and interest to do some research. has anyone tried to walk a greyhound? If you aren't careful, IT will walk YOU. (Dogs that is).
Sara-s, I now recall why I stunk at archery 5 decades ago...As a lefty shooter, I was never comfortable with the position of my right hand-always afraid I'd injure it with the arrow.
