I shaved with a fine chunk of Sheffield steel but it wasn't a straight razor. It also wasn't sharp but baby steps. My shave ready should be here in a few days. I'll take as pretty a picture as I can when it gets here. I wont be able to help but shave with it that day.

This Pyramid 7 is pretty "plain Jane" but it's well made and and takes a nice edge easily. Excellent shave this morning. I'm going to redo this boar it isn't performing like I think it should. So today could be my first day back in the shop in a long time.

Only my second shave with this large FW Engels Leader, and my first shave in about 3 days. Wonderfully-smooth! :love055:

    Bartmann 86
I forget how wonderful this razor is. I bought it NOS at an antique store three or fours years ago when I first started with straight razor shaving. The factory edge was perfect from the beginning. I don't know what it is about certain blades, steel, edges that hold a sharper edge longer and make for an easier shave, but Bartmann razors have that special something.

Fritz Bracht 13/16 "Tennis" razor - just got this a few days ago, honed it up and it did not perform well so I re honed it. It was much better but just not to my expectations. I honed it again yesterday 1K Naniwa Pro, 5K Naniwa Pro, 8K Naniwa Snow White, 12K naniwa and finished with an Apache Strata working it from slurry to plain water. Bingo, I nailed it this time. One of the smoothest shaves I have ever had. I have another Tennis identical to it that also shaves very nicely
Le Pere Lucien Fourgere mixed with some Speick crème - awesome ubelather, one of the best
Brushcraft handle with a FS 28mm Silvertip Knot set deep
    La Toja Splash
    Fantastic shave today
