That looks like an Old Type all right. You can sometimes find a top cap on eBay for a few $$. You'll like the razor when you get it working. Nice!

Okay, while moving this post from the wrong thread to this one I wound up deleting the photo of my Italian Barber order. I received 2 croaps, Elaganza and Aquatico. Nice scent, I'll try them later. Also received a Razorock synthetic brush that seems well worth $10. I also received these 2 Naniwa stones from another order. image.jpg

Not really shaving related but received these two i Coloniali bath soaps from Connaught. They are huge and smell great (Indian sesame) - $10 for both, including shipping, was a great deal.

thanks, wouldn't want you to get banned.
Yardley from the grocery store was 120g, so it's 25 percent larger.
the Yardley cost three bucks. does the artisan soap last longer, or you just like it better?

I actually just received it so haven't used it yet. Got some bath soap to get through until I get to it so may be a month until it sees any water.
    It smells great though :)

This beauty came in the mail today. Its a Kiron 28-210 super zoom lens (Nikon ai mount). It is a beast, its vintage, it is in near mint condition!! :D

I can't wait to take it out. On my camera it is the equivalent to 32-315mm. I have to use it in full manual, and I get no light metering (I have the D5100) but it works amazing. It will be nice to have a crash course back into full manual photography, the way I learned. ;)

Got my new shirt today.. Just pulled it out of the dryer. Very nice soft shirt. My only concern is the large ink on the head. It's already cracking so we'll see how it fairs after 3-4 washings. (My other shirt from So Sharp wore off rather quickly on the DE blade.)

My wife works at an embroidery/clothing shop and she gave me the thumbs up on overall shirt quality and ink.

My strop arrived today. 15-20 laps on the professionally honed Friodur and I'm ready for my first straight razor shave tomorrow. I've had the razor for 6 months and just finally got it honed and now stropped tonight. Gotta love YouTube, I felt like an old hand at stropping. The razor is feeling nasty sharp.
