Great stuff. Just put a couple drops on the soap, lather, and voila - mentholated! Look for M-bomb on in the TSD Shop.

    Dove Men Face Wash
    Col. Conk Lime Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #18 Silver Tip
    Gillette NEW SC/Micromatic Bullet-tip * 1947 BYR
    Personna SS/GEM Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The Col. Conk Lime Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #18 Silver Tip brush. First pass with my Micromatic Bullet-tip razor and a GEM Stainless Single Edge blade followed by second pass with the Gillette SC NEW gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Lilac Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Guess what guys - there's a change of plans after all. Here it is!

    For Thursday:

    Stirling Pre-Shave Soap :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/Derby day 4
    Stirling Barbershop SS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Sir Canada Cedar AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:

And THAT'S my set-up for my shave, so there!!!

Seriously speaking, I can't use menthol every day - once in a while I have to go with my unmentholated stuff also, and the Barbershop soap from Rod is a most excellent and delightful choice. Its lather is so easy to work up, I love that true old-school barbershop scent, and its skincare is second to none. By the way, Rod's unscented pre-shave soap leaves the skin feeling so clean and well-prepared for a shave. I plan to get some more of it. The Lubriderm is a terrific moisturizer which protects and soothes sensitive skin so well. I have this Sir Canada Cedar aftershave for around ten years - it was a gift from a friend of mine. The wife says it's nice on me, but she'd prefer that I used the "young guy" stuff she and her sisters buy me! ;) :D

I've gotten into the habit of only shaving my head once a week. Its time to remedy that!

Prep: warm wash with Kirk's CocoCastile
    Lather: The Soap Exchange tallow
Brush: TGN Finest in a Made Rite handle
    Razor: Weber PH
Blade: Astra SP (2 head shaves)
Post: Ogallala Bay Rum Limes & Peppercorns

A fairly traumatic day at school was calmed down with a relaxed 3 pass head shave with my best razor. We had a lockdown at school triggered by a student who thought it would be funny to wear a trench coat and gas mask in the hallways between classes. After another 6 hours of calming students after the lockout, I needed to calm down when I got home and because my wife is off at water aerobics and I couldn't talk with her, I decided a head shave would help me focus. It did and I have the bonus of having a BBS scalp!

Post - Cold Water, Alum, The Veg

Birthday shave today so no Treets. You can read the full report and editorial about today's shave on the October 30 day thread if you like. I'll keep it simple for here and say it was a great three pass shave, found the baby with no problem and it set up a great day. Love this razor and blade together and the added punch of the TSD Bay Rum made it a perfect shave.

    Schick Magazine Repeater C3-:happy108:
Schick (modern Chinese) d? maybe 3 or 4?
    Kroger WH
    Clubman Classic Vanilla/Aqua Velva Musk

You know...a few days ago with an attempt at profundity I made the statement, "....and while the Schick Magazine Repeaters are obviously Masterpieces of Functional Art...The lowly E2 is a masterpiece in effective simplicity...The good Col was a genius..."

My shave today confirms the first part of that statement, " the Schick Magazine Repeaters are obviously Masterpieces of Functional Art."...That is without argument and right on the money... Both for their ingenius designs and perfect shaving prowess...I have never had a better shave! Also the last part...The Good Col. was a genius!

Today I was running late, only had time for one pass and touch-up...and BOOM! It's BBS...and an irritation free shave aswell....This C3, gives me effortlessly close as a Str8 shaves but feels like a soft, mild shaver...It always surprises me when I rinse, just how close the shave actually was....:happy096:

For me an awesome shaver. Sometimes just a one pass shave and a smooth shave at that. Someone on another forum offered me $275 for mine but this on razor will never go up for sale. Good luck on your search. Have seen a couple of classic and kings up these two past weeks elsewhere.
