This is a bit like trying to guess how many jellybeans are in the jar. I'll say 100 shaves from a puck of Tabac. Tabac is an amazing soap for sure...but the scent is just too overpowering for me...pity.

You guys have obviously never spent any time with Tabac! :D With the looks of his puck, I'd venture a guess closer to 150-175.

I have to keep my puck of Tabac encased in concrete and buried in the backyard. I find the scent overpowering. But when I dig it up and remove it from its concrete sarcophagus and whip up a lather it is an absolutely amazing soap.

The boys over at B&B have a thread called 3017, where members specifically work through soaps one at a time. I bet they would have some stories to tell about getting through a Tabac puck; you should get a medal if you make it happen.

They also load their brushes like mad. Did you do a pre-weigh to see how you're going through it? My bet would be about 1.3g/shave on the Tabac, for a total of about 95 shaves. I'm trying to work my way through a tub of Shaver Heaven right now, which should be significantly easier.
You've got me on the avatar-The name Porter works but there's nothing like Bronson's face to make you feel like you're about to get a talking-to of the ages ;)

I don't have any scales but I should have weighed it first. I might have to get one if I decide to do this with another soap later on.

I don't use a ton of soap on my brush and I face lather, but I've been using the same puck of Tabac (once a week) for going on 6 years now.
