I have just come back from a short morning run and is laying in bed with an electrical current type therapy machine strapped to my shins. An interesting sensation and hopefully it will do some good to my hurting shins. My shins hate me and I am starting to hate them back. Lazy buggers
Forgot to post yesterdays (Mondays) workout Incline press x 4, Machine flyes x 4, bench press x 4, Hammer dips x 4. all done with progressive weight added. Triceps press-downs x 4, , cable overhead triceps extension x 4, standing dumbbell one arm extension x 4, dumbbell bent over triceps extension x 4. All sets above done with weight added progressively. Finished off with 20 minutes in the sauna. Today, had to run errands which took longer than expected so skipped cardio today. Back to weights tomorrow.
Yesterday: 2 mile jog on the beach -- where the water actually ran over the tops of my shoes. I wanted 3 miles but just plain ole gassed out at 2 miles. I rarely get to jog on the beach. Thankful I had this opportunity! Today is Chest & Tris day at the gym.
Seated Military Press x3, Upright row x4, standing dumbbell press pinky up x 4, Machine Reverse Flyes x4 (weight added progressively for each set). Adductor machine x4 then Abductor Machine x 4, standing hamstring curls x 4 (weight added progressively for all sets). Did vertical chair knee raise x4 and Torso Twist machine x4. Finished off with 20 minutes in sauna.
Today was a day off, but yesterday i killed it. Absolutely incredible place. Never full and the guy at the front desk give me technique tips and spots me at not cost.
Thanks. It is only my shins that are bugging me. I am not sure if it is an inflammation or just dormant muscles that are reaction to the running. I have a (far fetched) hope that by running/jogging 2-3 time a week will strengthen the area and cure this annoyance. I went out for a new run at 5.30 this morning, and it was not particularly pleasant. So I am not too confident that my condition will improve just by training it away. But it is worth a shot
5:30!! I'm not functional unless I have a at least half a pot of coffee before I head out the door at 8AM.
I killed chest and tris yesterday. I pushed until I had muscle failure 3 times (on different sets). My chest is for sure sore, and my tris are a bit sore which is unusual. Today is shoulder day. I will definitely work hard, but having a bad shoulder joint injury that still isn't 100%, means not being as risky as I was yesterday. I was 'spost' to wake up at 4:30 this morning and jog but I slept in instead. I needed the sleep.
Too true! And sitting at my desk was more like a controlled crash than the actual act of sitting. I should be happy, but when your secretary thinks that there's something seriously wrong (mentally?).... Well, you get the picture.
