I bet you're right....But thats cool....If they can't keep them in then they should start stocking alot more...Looks like maybe an injector scene....

I have 3 but the C type isn't as comfortable on my face as the B and G so I'm thinking I'll trade it away.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding people who want to trade....Those Repeaters are too cool...Mine is becoming my favorite razor I believe...

Yow! I just had my first shave with a PAL Injecto Matic that I got in the mail yesterday. It cleaned up nicely and I was anxious to test drive it. I've seen it said more than once that the PAL will blow a Schick right out of the water.:transport024:

Well, I can see where that might be true. The first passes were super smooth and did a great job cleaning up the stubble. I was very careful and found that it required an even shallower angle than the Schick to do it's work well. All was going fine until I noticed a weeper here and there. And then a nick. And then another nick. And then a slice. And then more weepers. :signs131: Could this PAL be a vampire? Once it tasted blood it just seemed to keep going for more.:pot:

I did end up with a super close shave and the closeness rivals my OCMM. However, I can see that focus on technique is critical here - a small deviation from the right angle and it isn't pretty. Either that, or there is a different technique I need to learn with these. It will going to be back into the rotation soon as I can see that when this one is tamed, it will be an amazing razor to shave with. :happy036:

But first I need to give my face a break from three days of the OCMM and now this.

Here's the blood thirsty beast waiting to be tamed...

Anyone who has suggestions for taming this one will likely save me a good bit of bloodletting by sharing what works for them. My face and I thank you in advance! :eatdrink047:

    Schick A Type Repeater...:p
    [IMG]

    Three Pass Shaving Routine...

Hot Water prep & massage with Coconut Oil
    Schick Type A Repeater
NOS Schick Super Stainless Injector Blade ( Made in Holland - New)
    Semogue Boar Brush
Erasmic Shaving Cream (added Argan oil)
    Organic Aloe Vera Gel
    Logona Mann Aftershave Balm

I broke down under pressure and broke my Open Comb Month...I was chapping at the boot to Test Drive my recently acquired Schick Type A Repeater....I was immediately blown away by how smooth and forgiving this razor actually is....I have all the Dogs Danglies injectors that I own I must say this Auld Piece of Industrial Art is up there with the best of them....This is one "Serious Piece of Shaving Iron" folks....No bones about it... I opted for a Dutch made NOS Super Stainless Injector Blade...The Dutch made injector blades were the best ever made...Trust me on this one...Get some in...You wont regret it...EU sellers are your best bet cause a lot of these were made for the EU market and were not available in the USA...;)

I found the Type A more intuitive to use than the Type B...The Type A has a lovely round comb that just rolls you back towards the correct shaving angle without any problems...Its almost magical...These Dutch blades are surgically sharp and require a Lighter then Light Touch...A match made in heaven...The Type A is not as aggressive as I imagined it would be...Middle of the road I would say...A very balanced and well behaved shaving tool...I couldn't be as free as with as more modern Schick Injector...But Hey...That just makes it more interesting and more fun to use....The A Type didn't miss a whisker as it got into all my hard to reach spots with relative ease....I ended up with the Schick dare I say it...Injector shave of my life...I am sitting here with a close all over BBS result...My face is shining like a pair of Guard Mans Drill Boots...:)

I was waiting on our shave report Karl...:lyrtuy5:....Yeah the PAL Injectomatic wasn't Rolled on a Women's Thigh that's for sure and it ain "t got no Socialist Leanings either...:happy102: ....The PAL Injectomatic requires a very light touch...They are deceptively quiet and cut down the whiskers like a Ninja...They are also deceptively aggressive...They are not as easy to use as Schick's for that reason...Just use a Feather like Touch...You can get away with some pressure with a Schick Injector and sometimes they require that...Not So, with the Pal Injectomatic Sir....You will end up with problems...Take your time with it until you get used to it and then the freedom will come with time...:p

OK, I see what happened. Upon really close inspection - i.e. with a magnifying glass - I can see one of the blade stops is worn. When I inserted the new blade (one was in place already) I watched carefully to be sure it didn't drag across the stops. I then gave the head a gentle squeeze to bring the blade flush with the stops. Evidently the one end slipped over the top of the worn stop as it was sitting on top of it. So, the blade was at an angle along two dimensions. :signs131:

No wonder my face took such a hit. I hate to return this one but I'm afraid it's the only answer unless I want to inspect the head with a magnifying glass with every shave. Bummer. :(

I would but it would need to be while using the magnifying glass. I can give it a try later on, though. I've since opened the head with the key and pushed the blade back so it won't show it over the stop - but you can see the one stop is clearly smaller than the other.
In the process of replying I managed to delete my first post which is why these are out of order. Sorry about that.:scared003:

Pic below. I actually didn't need to use the magnifying glass for the disparity to be picked up by the camera.

At least I can take comfort that the blood loss was not as much due the lack of technique as I thought... :happy096:

I am only guessing here but maybe you have just loaded it off line...These take a bit more care to load than Schick's cause the heads are tighter...The blade stops on these are quite robust things...If you have to look under a microscope to see a difference I reckon it should be fine Sir...If you have managed to seat it correctly it sounds good to go...They can be more fiddly to load than other injectors....;)

Just got my two Championship L Injectors. They are NOS, but there is a musty aroma from the cardboard. Now to decide which one to use and which one to save. I am anxiously waiting to use the ultra Platinum blades, bit that will not be until open comb October is over.
Are they from the 72 or the 76 Olympics?

Just received this TREET SE razor. Picked it up on the Bay for $6. I'm not a big SE guy, but last month's work with a Star SE really got me interested. This looks very similar...at least the head does!

That's an unusual one that Sir...They are quite rare by all accounts...It has a sort of a Gem Clog - Proof Comb/Bar Guard Design rather than standard closed comb..;)

Thanks Billy. I don't know much about it, just liked the look. I'll have to check out the Clog-Proof to see what you mean. It's definitely different comb/bar than a 1912 or my Star.

Just took a pic of my own...You will see the similarities in the design Sir...The Clog - Pruf is essentially a Closed Comb/Bar version of the OCMM...;)
