  1. Clint, very nice avatar. :happy088: I was thinking about you earlier, in California with our current drought you can ride your motorcycle 365 days a year. How many days would you guess you ride now? :transport016:
  2. Thank you Kerry. I never commute on the motorcycle. Atlanta rush hour traffic is too much for me. We can't split lanes here the way you can in California. Before my lower back trouble I would ride about a 1000-1500 miles a month on the weekends. Since May I have not ridden, 1,000 miles.
  3. I saw on the news recently lane splitting is going to become illegal here in California soon, I don't know how it's going to work our rush-hour traffic is horrific! Oh wow! You've really dropped off because of your back :( I pray you find relief and comfort.
  4. Upset! Tennessee over Georgia....
  5. Thank you for the prayers. I think it will work out since the acupuncture seems to be working. I'll give it a couple more weeks and I should be back on the bike about the time the leaf peepers are out of the mountains. With electric heated jacket liner and gloves, I can and do ride year round. Much more peaceful and less crowed in the N GA mountains during the winter. Then I can have some fun and take some more motorcycle videos. :transport016:
  6. Oh it's only an upset if you don't follow UGA. Par for the course since they can't win when it matters.
  7. I really enjoyed the video. Very cool.
  8. Here is one more for your viewing pleasure. It was taken last winter on Hwy 60 above Dahlonega, GA

  10. Great night time photo. :happy096:
  11. Thanks @clint64. Your photos are definitely calendar material. To bad there are only 12 months in a year.
  12. It's added to my list. I figure by the time I'm done with my next lifetime I'll know everything I want about shaving. Assuming the next time through I find it earlier than this time!

Last day from for a bit on this razor, and it was great. I changed things up and went with a hot lather from my scuttle this morning. Every now and then, it really feels great to get a hot lather, and it really got me ready for my Saturday. Hope everyone had a great day today.

I am really enjoying this blade focus. I have already had some pleasant surprises. Today was the first day with this blade and I was impressed with the smoothness. I've had blades that cut well on the first day, but not very smooth (Feather) and blades that were very smooth and made me work for a BBS (Derby). This blade does both. I had a very smooth close shave this morning. This blade will climb to the top of my list if it stays consistent.

    Two-day growth, three-pass shave.

1st pass - WTG. Little feedback, minor reduction.
2nd pass - XTG. More feedback, better reduction.
3rd pass - ATG. Good feedback, excellent reduction.

Very good shave. Razor/blade very smooth, but not extremely close on first two passes. 3rd pass cleared the bases and I'm smooth all over.

I will do a 30-day focus with this razor soon to bring it into my regular rotation. Love the convenience for traveling - great design and aesthetics.

Autumn is my favorite of season of the year. Among the many reasons - the Fall Classic!
    Play ball!

PS - Boyhood team - Mets!
Always liked the Cardinals, but hoping the Cubs catch a break for once in a hundred years. I'm still feeling guilty over 1969.

  20. 10/10/15

    Gillette Old Type
    Frank Shaving Pur-tech Synthetic
    C.O. Bigelow cream
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Shave #1 with the Personna Platinum (Israeli Red) in my Old Type.
Did face lather and 2 full passes: Pass 1 XTG on my face and XTG on my neck (top to bottom today). Needed a little bit more touch up than with the Lord Platinum Class, but still wound up with a nice BBS.

Headed back to Atlanta on the red-eye. Last night my bride and I took in the Donny & Marie Show. A very enjoyable, high energy show with lots of variety. Numbers included:
    Dancing in the Streets
    Crazy Horses
    Walk This Way
    Rock This Town
and a medley of Musical numbers including All That Jazz and Cabaret

Their current contract runs through 2015. If your wife likes Donny & Marie, and you want to be a hero, get tickets and sit as close as possible to the stage. You won’t be disapointed.
