Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
    Razor - Ever Ready 1914

    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix

Due to the recent favourable turn in the weather, the old pogonotomy has taken a back seat recently, in favour of something altogether more piscatorial. Fearing a weeks growth may be a little much for a double edge, the single edges are out to play again.
My secondary blade trail has had to take a back seat but as winter rapidly envelopes this corner of the world, I'm sure normal programming will resume soon enough.
The 1914 has been off duty long enough. I've preferred the 1912 and Clog Pruf and recently acquired favourite, the 1924, but I believe this shave has changed that, ridiculously smooth and comfortable

Decent shave but a few nicks on the neck. Shoulda went with soap or cream as I usually do. Followed up with old Shulton OS "Sensitive" a/s balm. Good stuff; don't pass it up if you're ever lucky enough to come by some.

(I have found that any canned foam makes a good face wash and hand soap)

I always said that Rod from Stirling Soaps is a genius. His Black Ice soap lathered like a maniac for me, it gave me plenty of menthol chill with great skincare. The Lucky Tiger a/s cream felt wonderfully cold also, very soothing and very protective. Brian's Frostbite aftershave completed a heavenly shave! :happy088:

Brush –Olivewood with TGN Finest Fan
    Lather – TSD Signature

Another super close and smooth shave this morning. I am truly enjoying the focus on OC razors since they are easily my favorite DE razors. This razor loaded with a Feather is quickly becoming my vintage razor of choice. TSD signature is very easy to get a great slick and protective lather. Finished with a splash of CC Bay Rum. Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

    30 day focus - Day 11
    Fat Boy set to 7
    Sputnik Blade
MDC Face Lathered with a touch of TOBS Rose
    3 passes

This was a very, very nice shave, almost certainly a BBS. I have figured out how to maneuver the Fat Boy underneath my nose. I didn't think a 1/8" difference in head thickness between the Fat Boy and the Slim Adjustable would make a difference, but it made a large difference that took me some time to get used to. Overall, I wold say that the Fat Boy can give me as good a shave as the Slim, but, in reality, there is very little difference to me between the two.

I have been face lathering this month. Today I tried using hot water instead of cold and it was pleasantly soothing. The hot water also helped bring out the Rose aroma, which I always like.

Thank you. I think these are great looking razors, and they can offer great shaves. I am just getting to know this one, so I am still working on it.

    Ready to Get Back Home

I am getting ready to go back home and, before leaving, it is always good to shave like every gentleman should do. This was a quite classic shave: Cella shaving soap - a classic and very good Italian soap - Aqua Velva aftershave, another classic of old memories, both being absolutely performing and providing a very luxurious shave. Not to mention my Mastro Livi Grifetto 60, the razor I chose to be my travel mate and it certainly was the very best choice I could make.
    • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
    • Soap: Cella
    • Brush: Optim'Hom J-082
    • Bowl: Chinese Bowl
    • Strop: Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop and Hand Palm
    • Razor: Mastro Livi Grifetto 60, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point
    • Post-Shave: Alum Block
    • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
    • After Shave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

I'm glad you like the Proraso balm. I've not tried it but it's on its way to me as we speak. I'm even more excited about trying it now.

Really liking it. Thanks for asking. It took a while to get used to as I'm used to the floppy Plisson brush.

Do synthetics break in as it does feel a little less rigid then when I first got it. Maybe it's just me adapting to it.

You ever put something in such a safe place that you have trouble remembering where you put it and don't find it again. Turns out I put 2 shaving creams away that I got from a PIF and. Forgot all about them. I spoke to a member yesterday and suddenly thought," didnt he pif me some shaving cream once?
I found it, used it and loved it.
