Arrivals??? I'm very concerned about what I wanna, buy, NEXT! (Those purchases will SOON become the items, which "I'm Waiting To Arrive!") Geesh'es & Whiz'es, "COLLECTIONS & COLLECTORS!" I'm not even a rich-man! But I don't 'GAMBLE?' Oh; the continual-conflict..........:ahem:
So dang true! It's now in San Jose, no other scan indicating that it left New York. I can't really complain about it, two bottles for the price of one. Win!
I'm waiting on a grand shave king self lubricating razor. graciously sold my one our den brothers. it looks like the 14/17 model. I borrowed his pic also.
Picked up a couple of razors: 1) A "Concord" Mach3 handle made in Italy. 2) I was "tasked" with finding a good looking, working Stahly for under $30 and this one was had for $25 and is described as 'near mint and fully functioning"
I picked up a straight razor, along with a Ronson Mastercase lighter off the GoodWill site. Both for a little over $23. The Ronson is going to a friend who collected vintage lighters while the razor goes into the restoration queue. The razor will require some TLC as there is some intruding rust buildup on the blade and pivot point. Restoring blades with gold wash is time-consuming so I'll need to set aside some time for that restore. The history behind the razor maker, Daniel Peres, is fairly interesting. The company was the first known razor maker in Solingen, founded in Solingen in 1792. The company produced scissors, pocket knives and razors around 1803, ceasing production in 1819, but contined as a trading company. The grandchildren of the founder started producing straight razors again in the late 1800s, until the mid-1920s. The D. Peres company still exists.
Waiting on a bunch of samples from TSD shop. Was out for delivery but of course the USPS messed up and rerouted it to the next city for some reason Also have some captains bay rum and a lather bowl coming today, those are UPS, so I'm sure I'll get that at least.
I'm waiting for two Clubman hair gels, just ordered today. I'm on their mailing list, which is how I got the info on the sale on hair products, which lasts until 10-25.
Picked up a, to me, rather unusual Gillette razor and box. It appears to be a 1920's traveler but not 100% sure. Since I was the only bidder at 10 bucks I guess it's also not very desirable
I'm like you, Fred, but when I saw the Clubman hair product sale e-mail, I felt, now was the time to do something about improving my hair "finish".
