My one has just arrived, after sitting in the parcel depot for two weeks...

Picked up yet another cartridge razor of unknown date and material (I'm guessing 80's and plastic which would explain the ten bucks it cost).
But - more importantly - can someone correctly identify what cartridges it might take?

I'm thinking it will pair nicely with this mug...

    I don't understand supermarket's or possibly Gillette's pricing policies/strategies:

I bought a pack of the disposables as I am down to my last 2000 carts, and I can never resist a bargain. I will remove the handles and give my new Gold Sensor ago...

Same here. I can get four Blue 3 cartridges for $4 but five disposables for the same price

Just bought a dusty old Gillette GII piece (Made in Poland) for only $1. The plastic and metal both feel a lot different from my previous Trac-II type handle. But, the cartridges fit a lot tighter. :)

Curious to hear how it shaves

Today I shaved with the Gillette Sensor 3 instead of a Gillette Mach 3. The first pass was with a Schick Injector, which I have been doing for a few shaves. I got a closer shave on my cheeks, although it's more patchy on my neck. So the 68.8p cart beat the £1.28 cart. These prices are based on promotions.

Picked up a metal Mach3 handle by "Concord". Made in Italy but I doubt there's a lot of history to this line of razors :)
    Looks nice though.

That is one nice razor, Sir. Have you ever come across any custom (power version) handle for mach-3 or Fusion?

It seems like eBay is brimming with custom Mach3 handles at various prices - but I don't often see many that I like the look of.
This one had clean lines that I found rather appealing - will be fun to see it in person :)

This morning I used the Gillette Proglide Flexball Power for the first time. OMG it shaves SO smooth and close with no irritation, easy BBS after two passes on a two day beard. Aces!

My favorite gel is the Gillette Proglide Clear Gel, and it works better than lather or can.

Told you didn't I? ;) . With vibrations, the sandpaper effect decreases dramatically.

It was a very cartridge-themed week....

Received all these this week and I must admit I am super excited to go through them all! :)

Left to right: Atra, Atra Elite, unknown, Atra DeLuxe, Evelyn and Crabtree, Truefitt & Hill
All razors are in very nice condition - one or two needs a cleaning - and the total cost was approx $70 for them all
It's not often you receive a bunch of razors and every one of them lives up to the description and photos :)

For die-hard cartridge handle-lovers here are all the handles one by one:

    1) Gillette Atra. Fit: Atra

    2) Gillette Atra Elite. Fit: Atra
    [IMG]

    3) Unknown. Fit: Trac II?
    No name on front:

    4) Atra DeLuxe. Fit: Atra
Great feeling handle and this guy has some serious weight to him as well. Instant favorite.

I dub it the "Darwin" of cartridge handles. Ok come on.....humour me.....
    (Darwin DE razor):

    5) Crabtree and Evelyn. Fit: Mach 3

    6) Truefitt & Hill. Fit: Mach 3

    ...and...a pack of cartridges :D

Technically, the handle is just an Atra, since the "Plus" refers to the lube strip on the cartridge. Beyond that, the lube strip wasn't introduced until the '80s, so a '77 vintage handle definitely would have been an Atra, rather than an Atra Plus.

Also, FYI, it's Crabtree and Evelyn, rather than the other way around.

Thanks, I'll correct on both places :)
