    SATURDAY
    First shave of the week with sunlight! After five day of pre-dawn shaves, it was a pleasure to have a relaxed Saturday morning shave! Used the C-MON 'HF' ('hand-forged') for three passes plus some additional touch-p for a near-BBS experience. Love the Cade soap…..

    today's shave
    hot water wash with nuetrogena men's invigorating face wash and a washcloth
    @clint64 customized Rubberset 400/ whipped dog high mountain white
    Proraso red
    Grand Shave King self lubricating razor
    Ladas(2)
    men's choice spice
    today's shave was very good. always pleased to use the 400, it was so ugly when I got it, and now just gorgeous. the Proraso has an earthy smell that I find pleasing. three passes with the shave king, it sang the entire shave, leaving me as close as yesterday, but much more comfy. so close, my parents commented how clean shaven I looked.(that was at dinner,6pm, shaved 7:30am).
    finished with men's choice spice.
    hope y'all did as well, or better.

    Yes just Pimenta Racemosa From what I can tell but then again I have severe sinus issues that I take daily steroids to help manage so smell and taste I'd a little off

    Prep - Shower / Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
    Razor - Gillette Rocket HD
    Blade - Shark Super Stainless (#2)
    Brush - Omega 20106
    Soap - Arko
    After - Frozen towel / Alum & WH Mix
    Result - BBS

    Better shave tonight, the Shark seemed to actually want to cut hairs this time. The better gap in the Rocket, probably suits the blade better. A smooth result nonetheless.
    It's been too long since I used Arko straight up, so refreshing to get back to basics.

    I rejoined OCtober with my GEM OCMM. I worked on taming this one in September with good results. I tried it again early this month with mixed results. After a few days of sticking to GEM shavers I picked it back up. Much better, super close with two tiny weepers. Perhaps a little too close according to the Alum block but no burn or irritation. I'll stay focused on this one for a little while. :cool:

    I see a lot of people using the nuetrogena face wash...must be pretty good. My ex-wife swore by the brand....I might have to pick some up.

    Really? I see how popular it is in here. I also see that it's just a few years old, but the no cloves issue may balance off the "young" issue for me.

    Acqua di Selva Cologne

    A return to the chilly stuff after a one day absence. The Williams Menthol cream is really nice stuff. I love the scent, its lather is so rich and easy to work up with a GOOD cooling sensation which the Gold Bond intensifies nicely. A splash or two of the good old Rubby Dubby Doo is more than enough to make a man shiver for at least a half hour. I'm happy that its medicinal scent doesn't clash with the Acqua di Selva, because that cologne smells so nice - at least to me. I'll be changing the Derby blade after this shave. ;) :D
