Good luck tomorrow! Like everyone said take the pass and shave with your best/favorite combination so you look good and feel good. Attitude and appearance can go a long way!
October - Trick or TREET October 19 Razor - Gillette 1947 Super Speed Blade - (3) Brush - Omega Pro 48 Soap - TSD Lanolin Bay Rum Post - Cold Water, Alum, Nivea Home again. Arrived about 4 this morning, slept for a few hours and got up to get the day started. It's probably a good thing that this setup is solid and safe given the bleariness I felt. The bay rum scent was great, though, and helped motivate me through a two pass shave for a CCS. That's all I wanted this morning. Presentable, done and out the door. I'll catch up on some sleep and start fresh tomorrow. All in all the Treet Platinum performed like it usually does. Nice comfortable and effective shaves. It's one of the blades I can use as a go to if necessary and never have a problem. Definitely a TREET! Hope your week is off to a good start.
My wife is from the US (St Louis) but Ive been working her for more than 10 yrs. It did help having Scott Rolen (her fave player) playing for the Blue Jays for a while. She has a couple Canucks Jerseys as well. It's when it comes to NFL is where we differ greatly. She likes the the Seahawks and I like anyone beating them.....lol
To start, I apologize for the absence. My unit has been in the field and will be until November, so things have been crazy. Another 0630 work call tomorrow. I had the best shave of my short DE career last night. A really awesome member here, @wristwatchb sent me an awesome PIF box with some new soaps, creams, and other great things that I will show off in the November focus. So I had the chance to finally try a shaving cream. T&H Almond, which I must say was fantastic, I may have to pick up a tub. I also had the pleasure of trying a Feather blade for the first time. An aggressive blade in this SS is a match made in heaven it would appear. The shave last night was a DFS+, or at least that's how I felt. My grading scale with probably change with skill. I will post soon about tonight's shave. I hope I can get more time to be on again. Seth
October 20 Focus Shave 12 I am back from Fukuoka Japan and while I was gone a new razor showed up. I was nervous about buying a razor on the 'bay but it turned out alright. I really wanted to try a Wade and Butcher near wedge but I did not want to splurge for one in excellent shape until I was sure I would like to shave with it. The razor came 'shave ready' and it was truly shave ready. It is a little wider and the tip than the heel but it did not seem to affect my shave. The first 3 passes went without event except for one small weeper so on to the fourth pass. I did 2/3 of the 4th pass. I thought I might have some irritation but the alum test indicated only the slightest twinge, this is the least irritation ever for SR shave. Almost BBS but not there. Irritation A, closeness B+ all in all I am pleased with the shave and the new razor. 19 October 2015 30 Days with a Gillette Fat Boy Yeah. Ugh. No shave today....but...these guys probably didn't shave either! It means a great BBS is almost automatic for tomorrow! Puppies are nuts, I had forgotten how energetic and clumsy...so fun to watch and cherish, but very tiring. Feeling like fall on the prairie, high around 50F Wednesday! Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a terrific Tuesday!
Awesome! Kudos to @wristwatchb , we are lucky to have guys like him in our community. Have fun in the woods! Can't wait to see your new stuff!
Shenanigans and......I got my email today from Wolf Whiskers.....my name is up on the wait list so I just placed the order for my brush. Glad I stayed awake to check email!
A.J. Murrays Pre Shave oil Gillette SS Feather Hi Stainless The Body Shop shave cream WD Silvertip Thayers WH The Body Shop razor relief Shave went really well, just received my new badger from WD. Defunked it and shaved, can't wait until it's broken it. It already blossomed huge. Can't believe how cheap I got it though. Pretty much everything in this picture was Charlie's doings. And that's barely scratching the surface. It's given me some great opportunities. I probably wouldn't have tried a feather for awhile if it wasn't for this PIF. And I'm falling in love with these blades. The cream whips up wonderfully with the Silvertip. I understand why they say lather hog though. That brush really holds onto it. The shave went well and easily rate it a CCS. Minimal irritation and no weepers. Closeness B+.
