I currently use a Slim adjustable set on 9 with Lab Blues. Got a sampler but don't know if I'll even bother considering how much I like the Personnas. As for soap, I have a few of the cheap ones VDH, Williams,Arko. And I have a couple decent ones, Razorock, and a soap made by a local guy that's surprisingly good for the price. I use a big omega and I have a smaller knot semogue, both boar brushes. For aftershave I use Clinique buffing solution since I seem to prone to razor bumps and ingrowns, this helps a lot. I follow that up with Nivea ASB. Any suggestions about what I have or what I'm missing out on?

Welcome to The Shave Den! You have a nice kit!

    Check out the
SOTD thread (SOTD = shave of the day) and the 30 day focus thread. In particular, the 30-day focus thread is a great place to develop and refine your technique. Ask plenty of questions, as everyone here is willing to help. Have fun. :happy088:

Sounds like you have a very nice kit. Don't confuse inexpensive with lack of quality. All of your "cheap"soaps are top quality IMO. I've used all of them successfully and Arko is my daily go-to-soap.:happy088:

I'm with you. All the soaps seem to perform well. I too like Arko, and unlike many I have no problem with the scent. A quick question about Arko however. Do you face lather it or bowl lather it? I feel like the lather is way different if you bowl lather it. Seems to perform well either way, but I get a different lather when I don't use the bowl
