Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

I just finished a bowl of Drew Estates Heirloom Cherry in a MM Country Gentleman. There was a definite artificial cherry type smell in the tin, but just a slight cherry taste in the smoke. The MM is one of my best smokers, I guess because the air passage is so large without a filter I just have to take small sips to get a mouthful of smoke and the pipe stays cool. It doesn't look very pretty though.

Having some Mac Baren Vanilla Creme in my Pear wood "Wolf Pipe". This is a good aromatic, and probably the best vanilla I've ever had. It has a nice sweet taste that, in my opinion, isn't overbearing; and has a room note than smells of real, fresh vanilla; but also somewhat of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.

I've got several MM cobs, and the hands down best pipe of the group is my natural freehand, also known as the Corncob Snob. It's a large pipe that came with a vulcanite stem, and although the stem feels much better to the mouth, it's a bit heavy to clench, although it's lighter than the coated finish one. I'm convinced the natural finish helps it to breath and possibly dissipate heat better. I wish MM would make some of their larger bowl pipes such as thenDiplomat, Country Gentleman, or General, in a natural finish.

I currently have a Great Dane "Spool" that came in the Customer Appreciation Sampler, and I love it. It has actually outlasted the Briar pipe that came in the same sampler (Not happy about that though. >=( ). And I had another, though I can't recall off the top of my head the model, that lasted me about 10 years before she had to be retired. They're definitely a huge bang for the buck.

@BamaT: Yeah, that's absolutely true.Smells really nice for my nose. I'm not smoking pipes that often. Maybe one or two in a month. So i'm not that good in describing scents for pipes. ;)

What i can say is, that i would buy the Rum & Maple again. :)

I'm thinking about getting a vulcanite stem from MM. I don't use filters anyway, and I think the mouth feel will be much better than the plastic ones.

I think you're right about that! I find the plastic stems on MM a bit lacking.

I did bust it out today...it was my first time trying it...i really have only tried the cheap blends at the store, dunhill nightcap and nat sherman....i liked the orlik alot i prefered it much more than the dunhill....so i think i might be an aro and vapers guy....the orlik was smooth and id like to see what other types might be similar

The vulcanite freestyle bits are $8 each. They are only available in bent stems. You can switch the bit from pipe to pipe, it all depends on how much you use your corncobs. I'll have several MM pipes, but use the vulvanite stem for most.
